Seems to be a nice enough property, however not only is there a $40 application fee (not a big deal at all), but if you are interested in a townhome you have to deposit $500 just to be on their WAITING LIST. There were also no units available to tour so you are put on a waiting list for a townhome you have NEVER seen and a townhome that will be available at an undetermined date. The $500 does go towards the townhome...should one become available and should there be a townhome to look at. I am blessed to have a wonderful job and am financially stable and secure, however, a $500 deposit to be on a waiting list for an undetermined amount of time is a steep ask, even if it is refundable should one unit happen to come available. Just seems kind of ridiculous to me. This review has nothing to do with their grounds, specific units, but overall through my communications, customer service seems to be lacking and the cost to even consider living here is clearly not logical. But anything to keep the riff-raff (college educated, post graduate school, coordinator of a medical facility) out, right?

Visited my Grandson who has a one-bedroom apartment. Nice size. Great kitchen with counter space!! Outside was clean. Covered parking available. Pool available.

Alright alright alright y'alllllll! Here goes my rant! I lived in The Homestead community for 7 years and I have nothing but positive things to say. Let me start with the apartments... I lived in three different units/two different floorplans. My 1-bedroom was the Redbud and I absolutely LOVED it. Perfect space for 1 or 2 people. The 2nd floor has vaulted ceilings in addition to the huge bathroom. It was really homey (and I've lived in previous communities where this wasn't the case). The vaulted ceilings came in handy during Christmas time as I always wanted a tall tree! The community is gorgeous. I utilized the walking trail every day, especially during quarantine/WFH times. The trail connects to a nearby park too, so there's that! It's truly beautiful grounds, and while I didn't have one, it's obvious that it's perfect for your canine kids if you have them. In addition to the trail, you've got the gym, laundry, mail room. It's kept up-to-date and makes retrieving packages SUPER duper easy. The pools, ohhhhh goodness the pools! Two of them for convenience. The one connected to the leasing office was my second home in the summer and I made a lot of friends there. It's family friendly and always a good time. Location location location... I walked to the grocery store and shops all the time. Everything else was a super quick drive away. It's real close to I35 which makes for only a 20-25 min drive to downtown KC! The leasing office staff >>> guys, they couldn't be nicer. They were always so welcoming and extremely attentive to my needs. It's very obvious they care about their tenants. Oh and in pre-covid times, they kept a plate of cookies handy for the tenants. Not to mention, they always have some baller candles burning/warming so it always smells so good in there! Last but not least, I have to mention the maintenance team. I'm truly going to miss them and wish I could still call them up for my house repair needs haha! They were all so sweet and patient. I really enjoyed getting to know them and felt very safe in the thought that if anything ever happened, one of them would be there in a timely manner. I can't say enough about my home for 7 years. The Homestead will always hold a special place in my heart and I can't recommend them enough. Cheers! -DH

We have been here 4 1/2 years if nothing has changed since then: They will check your income and legal background check. You will need 3 times the rent for income if applying alone, can not have recent evictions. Credit score did not factor in too much.
No that is free but has rules . There are to pools . The apartments are good and it does not feel like an apartment complex do to the green spaces.
They have all that listed on the website. Rents can be 800-1500 depending on bedrooms and the townhomes.
A little over $1k, but it varies by the floorplan
