Painless experience if you text yourself in line and bring a check to pay, so you don't have to pay the card fee. Pro tip on the virtual queue, send "S" every couple minutes after getting in line, as the estimated wait time is greatly exaggerated at first.

This place is a joke. The wait times are obnoxious. If you want quicker service, all you have to do is pretend you don't speak decent english and they will go out of their way to put everyone in queue on hold to help you immediately. Pricing is ridiculous, be prepared to pay $500 for a 10 year old pickup truck. When you finally get called up over an hour after your wait time, prepare to wait another 5 minutes to stand there while the workers have full on unrelated side conversations. Lived in 4 different states, and have never had a DMV experience more garbage than this one.

If you're planning on doing the online get in line, you have to do it right at 7:30AM when it opens. Mine said there would be a 111 minute wait, but I didn't wait more than maybe 90 minutes. In and out, no problem.

Recently titled my truck here. While the online check in was a bit confusing and a little screwy, the service I received was shockingly good. It took me 35 minutes for travel time plus time in the office to actually title my truck. Big thanks to Amber for the quick and friendly service.

It’s been over 2 months for me. If it gets lost in the mail they have no interest in helping you (personal experience)
It takes about a week to get the registration back. I wouldn't worry about it until that time has passed.
It is better if you register early, there is an app that tells you wait time and reminds you so you can go do other things while waiting. I like it.
I'm sure she can but I think you have to be on it with her.
They will give you the sticker in the office.
you got to take it to the highway patrol first, if your car from another state, and than go to the dmv, I think any kansas dmv.
Yes
You need to go to your local county treasurer motor vehicle office with drivers license, proof of insurance, both showing new address, and ask them to update your registration record.
You can renew online or at the kiosk inside without using Q-line. It's fast and easy
Don't think so...I"ve been waiting three weeks and still no answer.
How do i get in line
Yes. jocogov.org/dept/treasury-and-financial-management/vehicle-tags-and-titling/change-address
https://dmv.jocogov.org/ you can get in line through this website starting at 7:30 a.m.
And you need to start first thing in the morning, as they fill up quickly
Is inspection and tags in same place for Johnson county tags.
It took me about two months to get mine.
I think so just call
You can call or go to the website. jocogov.org
Yes and only taking online bookings. You will need to log in at 7am to get an appointment. Process is long and arduous. Took over an hour from when they texted me to go to the office to being seen.
Hi. It depends what county you are moving into - find that county's website. If you are moving to Johnson County (which is the Kansas City area), go to this website for the information: https://www.jocogov.org/dept/treasury-and-financial-management/vehicle-tags-and-titling/frequent-questions :)~Mindy.
