This venue was amazing it had the space needed and helped me find a wedding planner. Beautiful and historic great for my wedding! Only thing is they made me pay for a police officer that they would provide but they never did this. Also they don’t really give you enough time for what you pay for. I would have liked the whole day.

Our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms include helpful exhibit boards with information on the family and time period.

Toured as a potential wedding venue recently, the first time I've been to the Majors house in over ten years. The nonprofit that manages the property does as much as they can to keep costs reasonable, and all of the venue cost supports the nonprofit. This is a beautiful space at a fraction of the cost of comparable private venues. And the Majors house museum itself is a fantastic nugget of historical preservation of a Civil War era home in nearly the condition it would have seen at the time. The museum is self-guided and there's so much interest and beauty to experience!

They allow food trucks to park on the lawn, weather permitting, when you book an event through them, if that's what you're asking...

Has anyone died in this house, if so tell me about how. If your wondering why. I would like to do a ghost hunt

I would call the organization to ask. They do NOT permit "guests" unsupervised
