Okay to begin, parking was absolutely horrible. Plus wait times were very long in the afternoon. I checked in online when I was still at home, drove 20 mins out here, then still waited 45 mins here in the office. Finally when my number gets called I am notified to go to booth 5. I sit at booth 5 waiting on my assessor named Latoya, and no one is there. I get up an go to the check in desk to ask where my assessor is, when I get the message I have missed my turn and my spot has been given away. What? Because she wasn’t at her desk doing her job, my spot was given away? I rush back to booth 5 and sit down just for her to have an incredible attitude with me and another employee to yell at me to sit back in the waiting area and they’ll get back to me next. So my spot gets given away because no one was there to help me. Got it. Ashley ended up taking me at her desk next and helping me, and she was super helpful and quick. Overall a pretty sour experience being berated for Latoya not being at her desk, and I hope her supervisors look into this.

I had a really good experience with an assessor here. They were extremely patient and helpful with me as I navigated the process.

I called ahead today to confirm the proper procedure for changing my address, in order to pay property taxes. The man on the phone told me the docs to bring and said to come in person. I arrive 40 minutes before they say they close and was turned away after gathering the documents and walking a block in the rain, since there is zero parking within a block of this bureaucracy. At least post your legitimate hours or get with the times so people can get in line online! Now I am supposed to email all my documents and hope for a response in their que... GET WITH THE TIMES 👌

I was NOT looking forward to calling based on the other reviews here... I'm not sure if I got lucky or what, but I got someone on the phone VERY fast after calling (even with a 'higher than usual call volume' warning)… The person I was connected with was pretty patient with my questioning, and was able to help me get exactly what I needed; all in all I was on the phone for a little longer than 5 minutes and was emailed the form I needed. This review says nothing about going into the office, but my one experience with calling them was a good one.

What do you mean by that? Are you trying to evict someone from a house you own or is your house getting sold in the tax auction?

Yea but I'd recommend the one in sugar creek/independence early in the morning or the last thirty minutes. They're faster.

What do I need to bring to register my vehicle in Jackson county from another state?

I believe your property taxes saying you don't owe anything. Your insurance card. Sales tax (there is a sales tax calculator online). Registration fee. Title. Title fee. The Missouri form with all your information and car information will need to be filled out. A bill of sale won't hurt. And I'm not a hundred percent sure but I'd bring a property tax paper that says the property taxes were paid in that state as well (one time thing because once it's transfered from that state to this state you're good)
