Lansing is just a place between places. It's a speed trap. It's a backwards, post-rural, ditch for farm waste and country oligarchy politics. I want to move but can't afford to anymore. I'm trapped. Most small towns in the "post-Great Recession Era" victimize their populations by over-criminalizing and over-fining to raise revenue and keep taxes low as a political stunt. Lansing is one of those towns. I don't want to live or work here. The fact that any city government can create a "de-facto poor-tax" detracts from the credibility of every government.

Lived here for 12 years and have loved every minute of it, a little boring but I got over it.

Hi Karen - There are several notaries on staff with the city of Lansing. Please call City Hall at 913-727-3036 before you head over to let them know you are on your way. The Lansing Community Library can also provide notary services - call 913-727-2929. Thanks.
Please call 913 727 3000 and ask for the animal control officer. Thanks.
