Our trash and recycling are missed more than they are actually picked up. Constantly paying for service I don’t get. My recycling hasn’t been picked up for two weeks now. Received a call that it would be picked up on Tuesday or Wednesday. Surprise, it’s still hasn’t been picked up and it’s 11 pm Wednesday. Reporting missed pick up does zero good. It’s a waste of time. I report it. Get told it will be picked up the next business day and it never is. The city has threatened to fine us $250.00 for not having our trash picked up weekly and leaving full cans at the curb. In the meantime I have to pay someone else to haul away my trash. I have a garage full of recycling I’m going to have to take care of myself because Republic won’t do their job. Republic is a scam. Avoid at all costs.

We received a notification the week of Memorial Day that our service would be delayed by one day due to the holiday. This is not unexpected so I didn't think anything of it. My trash was not picked up at all that week. The following week, we received a notification on the day trash was supposed to be picked up that "due to unexpected circumstances" service would be delayed by 1 day. I called to let them know that my trash had not been picked up from the week before and that now it was going to be delayed again. I was assured that services would be rendered the following day. They were not. I called on Monday and they told me they would schedule a missed pick up for Tuesday. It is now Wednesday and I had to call again. They have missed our entire street for two and a half weeks and the best they can do is say that they will schedule a missed pick up. I am tired of paying for services not rendered, waiting on the phone for an hour to talk to someone and getting nowhere.

This trash company could care less about a happy customer. They have a very “you get what you get” approach when you call to let them know they missed your pickup. They will tell you a truck will come by to put your cans out and said truck will never show. They’re full of excuses and terrible customer service. I recently cancelled our service with them, and was shocked to find that Ted’s was an incredible service provider at HALF THE PRICE!!! Oh and if you call to try to cancel your service… bring a snack… it took them over an hour and half of me being on hold to answer the call and complete my request.

Update --- Yesterday the driver for recycling took a picture of the recycling on the curb clearly showing the bin at the curb. The driver stated the bin was not out. Yet another example of the lies this company is okay with. They also will not answer their corporate phone lines. There seems to be no way to get resolution to problems with this company. Republic Services does not keep its obligations or promises. They have refused to pick up my trash. They have made promises to send a truck out each of the last 6 days. That has not happened. The Kansas City office does not return phone calls or keep it word. I would give negative stars if this was an option.
