We just moved to Overland Park, and wanted to go to all 3 Carholic churches in the area before we decided on one to join. We attended St. Michael's for the 10:00 mass this morning. We had our 2 year old grandson with us who was very well behaved. I've never been to communion where the priest or Eucharistic Minister didn't bless a child who didn't receive communion. I, myself, am a Eucharistic Minister and was taught to always bless children. My grandson was standing next to me at the end of mass(at the end of the pew). He was giving a very subtle wave as Fr. and the altar boys and girls were exiting. Fr. could of winked, smiled, or even given him a slight wave. But, he did nothing. Jesus always wanted the children to come to Him and are always a blessing from God. This is not the church for us.

BEAUTIFUL Cathedral style Church that is arranged like a Courtyard with easy access for those disabled, except someone must open the Church door for you, if you need assistance. Ample parking. INSIDE IS MAJESTIC and AWESOME. VERY REVERENT and Traditional within.

I appreciate all the information given about contacts to call about grieving, depression etc... -- Not only for this particular parish but for the whole archdiocese. And, the priests and Deacons at St Michaels are great speakers who really care. I love this church. I invite non Catholics who are looking for a comforting Christian church, to visit St Michaels.
