Sad to watch this store go down. There are more and more items OVER 99¢ and most items are not good deals at all. They are just smaller sizes of the product. This place was a gold mine until they began all the price hikes which preceded the insane inflation we're seeing everywhere. Clearly, someone got greedy and it may be the death of this chain!

Liked it better when everything was priced the same. I hate having to look for prices or ending up at the checkout and being charged more than what I thought the item costs. Food/perishables are a good buy if you plan to eat them up within 24 hours. Still check them for age, bruses or rot spots. Potatoes & onions in bags will likely rot befor you can use them all. Day old bread items, but again check them & eat them quickly they are close or expired. I suggest you know your prices because some items are regularly priced elsewhere for under a dollar. And some of the frozen items, like meatballs, retail for a buck less at your regular grocery for the exact name item.

I decided to edit my last post and give more stars to this store because everything I was unhappy with has been changed! They finally replaced the dirty stained ceilings that had missing areas- they cleaned the floors- it no longer has a weird odor- they finally changed the name to “The 99” and took off the Only part of the name- they arranged everything a lot more organized- they don’t keep customers waiting in long lines anymore- everyone working there is a lot nicer and actually greets you when you walk in and when you get to the check stand. I’m very happy with all of the changes! It’s nice and clean and a better environment so I’ve been going back. This is what Chino Hills residents should expect and I’m giving the store 5stars now! Keep up the good work!
