ASHLEY HOFFMAN IS AMAZING!! I just moved to the area from across the country and I’ve been searching for a stylist in the area. I was very dismayed at trying to find a great colorist that wouldn’t charge me a month’s rent to do my hair. I went to Textur for the first time today after having been referred to Ashley by the wife of a coworker. My hair was in desperate need of a root touch up, color correction, deep conditioning, and a trim. Platinum blonde can be tricky to achieve without melting hair off- especially on fine, thin hair like mine. However, after viewing Ashley’s work on IG and conferring with her via text with current pics of my hair and pics of what I wanted to achieve, I felt confident she could take great care of my hair. The salon is clean and bright, and all the employees were very friendly and quick with a smile. Ashley was on time for our appointment and quickly got to work applying bleach to my hair. During the appointment, she made sure to explain why she was applying bleach in a certain way and various other tips about how best to care for my hair. I really appreciate when a stylist makes the effort to educate their client, as it helps me keep my hair looking great. Ashley used a 15 vol developer on my hair; this “low and slow” method of bleaching ensures that my hair isn’t going to come out looking like a hay bale by the time it was all said and done. The lower power developer meant that the bleach would take longer to develop, but with less damage to my hair. She didn’t rush the process in order to free up her chair more quickly, which I appreciated. She also made a real focus on putting a conditioning mask + oil in my hair to help repair the frizz. The trim she did was great and exactly replicated the V-shape silhouette I had requested. Also, she recommended and sold me a leave-in conditioner that will help me keep my hair looking good until my next appointment. Best of all? Her services were incredibly reasonably priced!! I was quoted by another stylist at a different salmon more than double what Ashley charged me for the same services. Ashley is super talented and experienced professional. She’s also just a real rad chick who was cracking me up the whole time I was in her chair. She definitely earned a loyal customer in me today!

1. Call many times to make first time appointment. Nobody picked up the phone. 2. Left messages in social media requesting appointment. Nobody replied. 3. Left message on website - no reply. 4. Finally got an appointment through a friend who was at the salon and requested it in person. 5. Arrived at the appointment and the stylist was not there. Waited for her 15’. 6. When she arrived she said not appointment has been made under my name. 😳 (did not check the salon agenda) 7. She took me in but saying she had a client at 10 am. After all what happened and waited I just decided to have my roots done. Left with some tincture over my forehead but she did a fair job. The overall experience from trying to book an appointment to being there waiting was not the best.

Ashante has cut my hair twice now, and has become my go-to guy for a haircut. I have curly hair so it can be hard to find the right person for the job, but he is the best that I've experienced so far. He pays excellent attention to detail and offers services at a bargain compared to his competitors in north county.

Cassandra: I had seen her work on Instagram so when I finally decided to do Balayage, I knew I wanted her to do it. I did have to wait a while for an available appointment, as I initially called right when restrictions were lifting in CA & SD and everyone was making appointments. The other part of it is that excellent stylists do get booked up. Let me tell you it was SO worth the wait. To say that she worked a miracle on my ugly pandemic-brown shade of hair would negate the fact she has serious talent and skill. Bonus: she’s super nice and easy to talk to. I was and remain blown away by how beautiful my color turned out and have been getting endless compliments. The salon and other stylists: The owner has done an amazing job culling top talent because everyone leaving the salon while I was there looked beyond. Not good or great, but runway-ready amazing. The atmosphere is professional, but there’s also a really good, fun, light vibe there. I also really love that the salon has an outside area, because I’m really bad at sitting and doing nothing unless it involves a pool and drink in my hand. Very reasonable prices for the quality. Bottom line: You’re going to have a great experience and leave as your best self, no matter who you see. But if you want to see Cassandra, book in advance…I already booked my next two appointments before I left.
