This was a great spot to plink for a few hours, plenty of areas all along the trail to stop the set up. Also lots of beautiful sights from atop the hills and mountain side. *** PLEASE KEEP THIS AREA CLEAN*** I try to leave it cleaner than when I first arrived, we don't want them to close this area off for recreational shooters and sports men/women.

First time here, road was not that bad but you definitely need a truck or SUV, no 4wd needed. There are lots of places to pull off the dirt road and fire off a few. Wish people would clean up after themselves better but what can you do...

Great place to shoot, lots of little canyons like your own spot to shoot away from others. It is free to go shoot there. I always take a couple big trash bags and leave with ten times the trash I bring in. If everyone does that it will eventually get cleaned up. That will help in it staying open for all to enjoy.

hello is bee canyon open for recreational shooting
Yes. Is open now
Any car will work, you don't need a high clearance vehicle although it would help. I've seen regular cars drive up where the shooting areas are.
It re open 2022 this month Jan
Yes, the only cost is to be a responsible shooter and pick up all your trash, including whatever you place out there to shoot at. Please don't give shooters a bad rep by leaving the place a mess. We should be setting the best example.
No I called the rangers office yesterday..and they told me there is no access to bee canyon, they are still doing road construction and public Access is not allowed I went about two months ago and the construction people wouldn't let me through even though it was very close by..about a block away. and I ended up going shooting somewhere else..
YES
Looks like the answer is no. Temporary closure for shooting here. See https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sbnf/learning/safety-ethics/?cid=fseprd664401
Call the rangers office and ask them. I called 4 weeks ago and it's closed.
Dont know I haven't been up there since the heavy rainy season
According to the US Dept. of Forestry, it is still legal to shoot there. They list the area as temporarily closed due to the recent heavy rains that washed out a lot of the roads. The shooting areas are not that far off the main road though, HWY 74 out of Hemet. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/sbnf/recarea/?recid=26525
Dont know this rain might be screwing up the road
For off road use only. Shooting is closed until at least January 31st.
I've seen low 2wd cars such as 1998 Honda civics up there pretty deep in. I was surprised. I've driven a 2wd Tacoma up there before I got my 4x4 one..
First you need to call (909) 382-2997 to obtain the Activity Level. Shooting will be allowed all day during activity levels 1 & 2 Shooting will close at 1:00 pm during activity level 3 Shooting will be closed all day during activity levels 4 & 5 Yes, you have to clean up after yourself. Paintball is not allowed.
You have to call Rangers and they will tell you if open for target practice.
Call the Rangers
I ventured out here, great place for pistols and shotguns. I would not recomend trying to do any shooting past 100 yards.
Check with local authorities.
Don't think so, fire danger is still high.
I was there a week ago and stopped in the Ranger station, they said no shooting until there was a good rain
I was there Saturday and rangers said no because fire danger
I was finally able to get a hold of their office and appparently its closed for target shooting until, quoted as they said the “WHOLE forest must get two inches of rain”. So who knows whenever thats going to be considering this is Southern California. (11/22/17)
Target shooting Opens at the End of the Official Fire Season , Usually Early December.
You can zoom in on the ranger station down the street from bee Canyon on Google Maps click on the website and look for info
