My dog passed suddenly this past week. The vet office recommended West Coast Pet Memorial for the cremation. I am beyond impressed on how the service and process was handled. I worked personally with Angelica and she helped me throughout the grieving process to make sure my dog's ashes and paw print come home as natural as possible. She even emailed me pictures of the paw prints before picking up to assure me their goal is to provide quality service and lasting memories of your pet. I hope not to have to use their service anytime soon for my other 2 dogs, but if I did I would surely return to West Coast. They truly understand the pain and heartache of losing a family pet. I'm happy with how everything came out and just wanted to say thank you for the comfort and reassurance of the cremation process. Thank you again!

I've used them twice it's heartbreaking to use them but it's good that they are here .. they in my book are the best pet crematoriums around bar non my dog died on Monday and I got her ashes Friday . They are caring and do Beyond excellent work.

*Please not I haven't been to this location, but have used their services (through our local vet) last week, when our pet friend passed away. What a wonderful and endearing final tribute to our friends and family members, I dare not call them just pets. We picked up our dear friend Sweet Pea (our budgie) of 10 years. Circle of Life honors and values the pet as well as the family. The package they provide is so carefully thought out and dignified. They provide a card of sympathy, a "forget me not" flower seed packet, a beautiful ode (a celebration of life) poem, a cedar box for the ashes with a pretty golden locket (with key). They also provide an engraved gold nameplate on top of the box, a fired clay foot/paw print of your dear pet friend, and a nice wooden tripod stand to place the foot/paw print clay disc. They're fast as well. I was expecting the process to take about 10 to 14 days, but we got her (out pet) back in 1 week. It really made us feel whole and complete because they took so much care with the one we so dearly loved for a decade. Their prices are very fair as well. I wholeheartedly recommend using their services.

We sadly had to put our dog down and we went to the emergency vet clinic. They used Circle of Life. About a week later we got our Fluke back, and the cedar box was beautiful, the paw print was perfect, and they included a heart shaped piece of paper that has seeds embedded in it so we can plant it. So thoughtful and beautiful. I called to thank the staff and said they did a beautiful job, the woman on the other end was very gracious. It is not something you really want to think about nor go thru ever again, but when the need arises in the future we will definitely use their services again.

Questions & Answers

I probably half to put my dog Lucy down . She is a 13+ years old dachshund around 21 pounds. How much would it cost me to bring her there to get her cremated and how long does the process take ? This is very hard to do and still need to find a place

You put your pet down at the vet and they usually use a certain animal cremation place (call your vet to see who they use). And then you'll fill out some paper work to let them know your wishes. The remains will get picked up from the vet so you don't need to do anything. The vet charged us around $90 for euthanasia and to get back ashes was around $150. Usually no longer than a week or 2. So sorry about your dog. :(

What do ubdonif ur dog dies during the qeekend

Well that's a hard one at the risk of sounding morbid you keep your pet in blankets or you can take him/her to a pet hospital and they can hold your pet till the place opens but doing that will cost more money ..

I want to know, what else is included or if is gonna be more price because I want a molding of his body and I want to know the causes of his death with autopsy? Or where can I go for that?

During the cremation process, do they detect a chip? If so, is that record updated to reflect the death?

Dale Beckes | Sep 7, 2019
Brian Hartley | Sep 7, 2019

I doubt it, the incinerator disintegrates everything. There would be no reason to record the death with anyone. Sole purpose of the chip is for locating animals. If your animal was taken to COL, you unfortunately know where your animal is.
