what i was shown as sample and what was installed were two totally different colors. i chose the monarch majesty because it was dark dark grey almost black and we have dogs and what we were brought and was installed and was told is monarch majesty is very light grey. ...sucks... however the installer did an excellent job and was professional

I feel lukewarm about the flooring installation. I chose ceramic tile for the kitchen in my 100 year old home. I wish the contractor had told me before starting the work that my floor was not level and it would result in a 2” transition between the original hardwood and new tile. Then he didn’t seem to have a plan on how to make that transition less noticeable, so he just put a strip on wood on it. I’ve already tripped over it a couple times and will have to figure out a solution on my own. After three days, the grout is already coming out of part of the tiles, though the contractor agreed to fix it. Otherwise the tile is square and the new trim looks good. The installers were considerate and nice, though the plastic they taped to my hardwood floors removed some of the wood varnish. They installed a kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom in three days.

I had the flooring in my home completely redone through this company. I’m happy with the manufactured wood I had installed on the first floor, but not the carpet they installed on the second floor. They did a terrible job installing it. First off the lady didn’t measure correctly so they had to come back and do my closets, which was a pain. The carpet wasn’t properly stretched all the way to the walls in several places so there was a little gap. Plus the seams showed. They came back twice to fix those mistake. Now the carpet is starting to buckle in two of the bedroom entrances. These bedrooms aren’t occupied so the only reason for the buckling is shoddy installation work. Vacuuming shouldn’t do this. We bought this house new and had the original carpet for 15+ years and it never needed stretching. This one started buckling within the first year. When I called them this morning they told me they could come out and stretch the carpet, but there would be a $200.00 fee. Stretching wasn’t covered on the warranty. Really! Honestly, if you’re considering new flooring check the reviews and find a different company. One that will back their work and installation. DO NOT use this company!

Buyer beware of their warranty. We had them install 2 years ago our park model on our property. We had someone living in there when they moved out I was shocked about the flooring. I read the paperwork about the laminate and it stated they would not warranty it if it was installed in a bathroom due to humidity. It also stated to call Empire. I did and was told they do not cover tenants occupied homes. The salesman knew it was a rental. The salesman also sold us a product that should not be put in a bathroom. We trusted him to sell us a product that worked throughout the entire home. Empires response was I don't know what the salesman said and we now longer carry this laminate. She offered to put me through to the sales department. I told her I would never order flooring from them again. I am now going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Word of mouth is huge so I will definitely warn others to think twice about using them. There are many options to choose from Do not choose them.
