Good place to go for a quick offroad and or overlanding loop, near San Diego. Recommend the trip up to the Ranget fire watch tower. Visit Curtis on watch.

Had such a great day driving all over the trails with my Son and my Daddy. The trails are great for anything you want to ride, my Son rode his dirtbike, my Dad rode his quad and I drove my Rhino. There were a lot of Jeeps and trucks out there too. You need to buy a pass for the day, but it's only $5.00, you can't beat that! So get your gear and go!!!

Lots of “jeep trails”.. close enough to home (East County) but far enough east to get away and enjoy Gods Country. Lots of fun! Be safe, respectful/considerate of others, the landscape and enjoy the off road! Lots of rocks to climb too, better with friends of at least groups of two (if you want to try to push your vehicles abilities). Something for everyone from novice to advanced off roaders. Sights/views are amazing. (Lake Morena is nothing compared to what it used to be, in size).. still beautiful addition to the landscape below.

The best offroading area in San Diego county! We usually bring Jeeps and trucks, but there's trails for dirt bikes, quads, and side-by-sides as well. There are plenty of black diamond trails to really test your rig, and some easy cruises too. If you're running over 40in tires then a lot of trails will be too easy but the bypasses can still be challenging. Get an adventure pass if you plan on parking or camping. If you do come out here, please be respectful and don't leave any trash behind. Bonus points for taking out any extra trash you find along the ride!

Yes make sure you get a parking pass and the OHV registration is valid. Park rangers normally will stop you to check. The trails are also marked with difficulty level
You don't need anything special for street legal vehicles. There are some easy trails but also plenty to grow into.
Free admission-yes. But you need to have a CA OHV parking pass-$5 and displayed on your dash board. You can acquire one at any Big 5 sporting goods store and in two shops in the town of Pine Valley
No it doesn't but it should have a spark arrestor installed on it.
You'll be fine in the trails on the SxS. As for you're 5th wheel the road to the trails is super narrow, sometimes where even cars have to wait for one another to pass. Depending on where you plan on parking I would double check the road you will be taking, they're Alot of curves on this narrow road that I personally wouldn't feel comfortable hauling my 36 ft hauler on.
I belive so
You do need to purchase a pass for $5 dollars If you plan to park. We were able to purchase a pass at a kiosk machine next to the bathrooms near the four corners trailhead.
No need, just go rip. Only need pass if you park vehicle/trailer and leave it while you hit trails
Green sticker is off road only tag red sticker is a seasonal off road only tag
Day pass needed at 4 corners, I've see no limitations to anything other than offroad if it's wet wet down fire road.
It's open. Be aware, It's red sticker season and it's enforced if you're on a bike.
Yess there are designated campsites throughout the area. Some more primitive than others. Just check the site to see a map of the land to plot your camp spots
It's open now.
OHV Green sticker only right now. Red isn't allowed. You can drive street legal vehicles here too.
You can do Los Pinos Rd in 2wd. You can get up to the fire lookout tower, which usually has someone friendly who will invite you up. I wouldn't recommend trying the other trails without 4wd.
They close it during and after heavy rain
Yes I will make sure that I do that but does the park charge for admission?
That I know of yes but it's probably cheaper buying the annual pass
