Super friendly staff and super clean campground. Booking online was super easy, but needs to be done at least 2 days in advance. Has showers, bathrooms and a few running water stations. Overall a really nice park with very low noise and light pollution from the surrounding cities outside of the state park. Lots of trails to hike on and areas to explore. Front ranger kiosk is only staffed Friday-sunday. They have a self serve kiosk for same day camping at roughly the same rates as online.

Small but nice campground in the state park. Probably the nicest state park bathrooms I've ever seen. Flush toilets and free warm showers. Pretty views

Feels like you are miles from anywhere. Great views and surroundings. Small campsite. Very good wash block. No fires or BBQ but gas burners allowed. Loads of trails, no cell phone service. Not much shade when hot. Some pitches don't have space for much more than one tent but all have a picnic bench, grill, and fire pit (latter two currently not permitted to use).

Campsites are very clean. Showers are a plus with warm water. Not very crowded because of limited sites. Very susceptible to winds. Visited in January and had a very strong Santa Anna winds, only negative which subtract to the star. It’s not the campsite‘s fault, but should be known for anybody visiting. Close proximity to several trails. Would like to visit again in the spring or fall
