First time to this restaurant, I really enjoyed the dish my niece has recommended. Although it was somewhat spicy to me but I resisted the need to drink water cooling off my fongue so I could taste all the different flavors that the Meli-Melo dish was bringing to my palate. I drank half of my glass of water after I finished my food. It wasn't the food was too spicy. I was tuning up for the must-order dessert, the Peignets! This is what I'm planning for my next visit here that I will start my meal with the dessert first, then the entree.

We have never had a bad dish here. It is always amazing. Favorite dishes include beignets with raspberry sauce, griyo(pork that is so tender and tasty), sweet plantains, red beans and rice, oxtail curry, macaroni and cheese. It is also family owned by am incredibly sweet and friendly family.

Praline Cheesecake is to die for. Our waiter was informative and friendly. Ordered Jamaican Patties (one beef and one chicken) and fried Okra. Dont miss the Okra. Perfectly crunchy, no slime ;) Gumbo, greens are amazing. The gumbo was a good spin on New Orleans... finished with cayenne and fresh herbs. Peach cobbler was great, but the cheesecake! I wanted to roll around in it. I was ready to fight my husband over the last bite. I want it for my last meal. Visit here, come casual and ready to enjoy some great food and great ambience!

We were finally able to visit this restaurant after moving to the area recently. Upon entering its quite a bit more quaint than the big sign boasts. We were seated immediately and overjoyed with the choices the menu had to offer. Our waiter David was amazing! He was attentive and very knowledgeable about not only the menu but the prep! He made our trip to this establishment over the top perfect. My husband ordered the shrimp gumbo and I ordered the red snapper. Both were seasoned providing a unique but delish meal. The snapper came with red beans n rice and two plantains. We also enjoyed some Mac n cheese & greens for the full experience. Many who have tried Jamaican or similar foods know that no two recipes are the same. Most seem to be family recipes which provides a new and unique experience for each dish. Definitely give this little restaurant a try! No mix drinks/hard liquor tho :( even with the nice patio dining they provide.
