Just a nice little waterfall with a few swim spots. The water is pretty cold. There are showers but there was no warm water. There is a big open area and picnic tables. Its a great place included with your Discover pass. 100% recommend.

It’s always an adventure when we come here. They offer camp sites and also camp sites with your horse. I highly do not recommend drinking any water from here. The water has a very bad smell to it. At first I thought it was the hand soap nope it was the water. I wouldn’t even allow my dog to drink the water from here. It’s always a good idea to have filtered water or water bottles. We enjoyed our walk here and also the Willapa Hills Trails go on and on. They also have bike trails and hiking trails.

The 1 star reviews are correct. There aren't any "falls", just a little stretch of rapids immediately next to a busy road. Also, the ENTIRE park is permeated with the sounds of traffic. This place is probably great for families who want to picnic without any sort of hike and who don't mind not seeing a waterfall, and who don't mind traffic sounds intruding into their recreation. Also, the trails are garbage. There really aren't any significant hikes anywhere and the only interesting feature was when I followed the trail out of the park, across a road and up until it seemed to terminate at a canal. I will put a picture of what I saw below - even though it wasn't part of the park.

This is a nice camping ground sorrounded by trees and a nearby river you can swim in(use life jacket). Park itself has wide open areas you can enjoy walking, running or play sports. Best part is that the restrooms are maintained And there are camping grounds thats far enough from other sites to give you more privacy.

Suspension bridge was washed away during storm of 07
Yes there is! I'd advise calling ahead as there are not too many spots. Its worth the trip. Buy your discovery pass early to take advantage!
You need a Discovery Pass, $30 a year or $10 a day. I think you can buy them there.
Yes. You can dry camp or have electric. There is tent, hiker, biker, and Rv camping. There are token op. Showers even! A great place to camp!
Since the bridge washed out, the main hiking trails for the park have to be accessed by driving out of the campground and back across the river as they are on the other side of the river of the main campground. There is also a walk-in entrance to the Willapa Hills Trails directly across from the main entrance to the park.
No you do not
Just a few minutes. But you will need to wear proper shoes
1-800-campout or online at Washington state parks website.
I know you can fish there, but it didn't seem very good.
You can get a spot with power and water and there is a dump station that you can use on hour way out with no extra charge.
It was farther than I expected of a long and winding road. Thought I may have been lost... There is a small trail. I was told there was another one across the street, but at the park it's less than a .25 mile. Have to say it was rather disappointing.
The park sells firewood in their office or the camp host can also sell wood but the closest stores are the Doty General Store or the General Market in Pe Ell
No. Cell service is not very good either.
No they charge. As you drive in there is a little pmnt stand... luckily there was nobody there when we pulled up. So we just parked at the park and then left.
As far as I know they were building a railroad
Just propane camp stoves there is a burn ban in affect until further notice. This includes campfires in fire rings.
Dogs are allowed on trails while on leash, make sure to bring plenty of poop bags!
Yes
Yep!
There might not b a place to put in water there...but it sure would b lots of fun.
Think there is some spots with power
No, but you can see it. The park was closed after flood waters destroyed a bridge. I'm not sure if it ever officially reopened, but it is a nice stop on your way traveling. Not much for a destination anymore.
Yes it has tent, trailer camping here, its been two yrs since we went here, but its a state park,so expect at least $20 a night if not more.
It was a Friday at the DNR when they made the web page. Lol
Yes, there is a day use parking area and there is parking as part of the group site. Park fees may apply.
