I came to this ranch on my own about 6 months ago. And, Oh boy, what a great place! Now I have been going there almost every weekend! If you have no experience with the guns, this is the place to start! Just show up, pay $30 for a whole day, and you are on! Greatest people, very helpful and knowledgeable! They will instruct you right on the spot about safety and use of the firearm. They have a nice collection of firearms to choose from for rent, ammunition and targets. And safety glasses and ear protection is free, as a bonus! Outdoors, fresh air, beautiful California mountain scenery! They even have Squirrels running around, as pets! Just pure pleasure! I would highly recommend this place for any beginner!

Nice range to shoot rifles, particularly, as this is one of only a couple in California that has up to 1000 yards. They offer gun rentals and ammo, or you are free to bring own (non-magnetic). They have a refrigerator with basic drink and food items for sale, but best to pack your own lunch. Staff is very helpful, but limited. Most times I've been on weekdays the range is not very busy. To drive to this location, you will take the 126 freeway for 20 minutes northwest from Santa Clarita, along highway 126, or the same distance east from Santa Paula, and the last 5 minutes of the drive is on a dirt road, so you will need to keep speed slow.

Excellent range with so many great shooting options...something for everyone! Both the RSOs and the pro shop employees are super helpful and friendly. None of the elitist attitude you get from many other places. $20 to shoot on separate pistol, shotgun, .22 rimfire and long-gun ranges with steel targets out to 1,000 yards?! Shut up, California Tactical Academy, just take my money!

Great place to shoot up to 1000 yards. $20 per person and you get 1 paper target. You can shoot steel targets of various sizes and shapes from 300 out to 1000 yards. At 1000 yards, there are several targets. A 36"round (measures exactly 1 mil), 24" round, 18", a 6" plates and a silhouette. I only had to bring a firearm and ammo. They have several spotting scopes. Nice touch! One Range Master (young man) was even kind enough to spot a couple of hits at the 1000 yd silhouette. Very friendly staff. They sell ammo, like 6.5 creedmoor too. The benches show some wear and tear, but they get the job done. I used a small piece of carpet. They have snacks and drinks. Best to bring your own, just fyi. I will go back for sure! Thanks to the staff. Good job. Ignore the bad reviews for obvious reasons (bad grammar, spelling, common sense).
