Beautiful private lake, open to the public for most of the day. Very quiet neighborhood, great for a peaceful walk around the lake.

Be sure to take a chair. Cast far enough out to avoid seagrass. Fishing is $25/person and our weekend there weren't many people catching fish during afternoon hours. Enjoy the beautiful view and multitude of birds.

So many people aren't even aware this little slice of heaven is right off the highway to Big Bear... and the residents probably like it that way. Don't miss taking a 30 minute diversion to see this little lake and enjoy the uncrowded surroundings and peaceful little town of Green Valley.

Best lake on our mountain. This town is basically Mayberry. Hidden gem. And by far the cutest and cleanest lake i think on our mountain. Beautiful for pictures, walks, fishing and picnics. I love green valley Lake

Anyone 16 and over needs a license to fish here as the lake is privately stocked and also stocked by the state. Great spot to beat the heat and hopefully catch decent size trout.
Everyone was catching trout left and right . It can get a bit crowded though.
Adults $25.00. Kids $15.00. Military/Vets $20.00. Senior day on Tuesdays $20.00.
Ok great, so you can rent or bring your own paddle board right?
There are no open flame fires or BBQs propane with a permit I would think at campgrounds please check with Camp host or the Forestry Dept. for answers. Due to the drought they may not offer permits for propane either not sure please check and remember to use our Forests and mountain communities safely so other after you can enjoy it as well
Dogwood campground is close but requires a reservation for trailer/RV.
It is open to the public every day until October 31st. from 5:00am to 8:00pm. They do charge $25.00 per person and allows you two fishing rods. I've been fishing there for years, never been asked for a fishing license. A little advice, take a spot close to the bathroom, they removed the only porta potty they had across the lake.
Just got back from there with our 3, 4 and 7yo GBabyGirls. Fished for a while, sadly not even a nibble. Go to gvlfishing.com for more info on fishing and the derby.
There is a rental office near main parking lot
Last stocked I believe was June 2020 and according to the lake manager it will be stocked for Memorial Day 2021. Last year fishing was $8 for the day
No, the swimming beach is closed this summer. You can rent boats though.
Yes and the dog can go in the water in designated dog beach area.
Hey Google... how far is Green Valley Lake Campground from Green Valley Lake (Answer) 1.2 miles
There is a fee and I think its 15 dollars and the fishing starts at 5:30 am a person in charge is walking around and will charge you the fee and give you a bracelet that you paid. Make sure you get there early to get a spot.
I believe you must be a local to float-tube fish. This site has all the rules and regulations pertaining to fishing at/on Green Valley Lake: http://gvltackle.com/ I'm certain you'll find your answer there. Good luck!
