made a reservation and called the same day to insure the rental was available and they said yes it was the next day when it was time to pick up the rental I was called and told it wasn't available and I told them that I called yesterday to make sure a rental was available and they told me I probably spoke with call center agent which was definitely not the case smh

I arrived at the Avis at 1155 for my 1200 pick up and the doors were locked, and the lights were off. Another customer arrived behind me 1 minute later as well. While I was contacting customer support to pick up my rental, the other customer went to the back of the building to find the female employee heading towards her car. I heard the other customer inform her we were there to pick up our rentals, and the customer turned towards me and said the employee said too bad and was leaving. As I turned the corner, the person was speeding off in a gray car. I felt this was very unprofessional. Granted, I was not there super early, but I was not super late either. Then I spent 20 minutes trying to contact a representative to extend my current rental and change my other rental. If we can't pick up at 1200 then do not make it an option to pick up at 1200.

This actually for Budget. Seriously horrible customer service, no help if you need it. Gave me a vehicle with absolutely no brakes. Had to be on time to pick up my daughter 600 miles away. Stopped at lots of locations on my way to try to get a different vehicle. No cars, no help. Even their 800 number didn't care at all. Anxiety, fear took over on the first day of my vacation until I finally found a Budget branch who helped me. Test your vehicles before you rent them out. Also clean them if you don't mind, it was nasty inside. Very disappointed.

They have cars!! No, seriously they have cars, BUT you may reserve one…even pay in advance and not get your car. That’s what I was told. How can they do that? It’s so unprofessional. Fortunately, I got my car. It was clean, but the back seatbelt was broken. Service was ok. Still…I got my car that I had paid in advance for.
