Wow so rude today. Tons of disappointed people due to the snotty staff. Find another job if you hate the one you have. Anyone who gave a good review must be an employee or relative of an employee. Poorly mismanaged. A nice gentleman looked at my paperwork and approved it for an enhanced license. I get to the next window and the woman said they cannot except one of my bills for the enhanced so I had to just get regular. Fine. Then after just having surgery, I’m standing there and the woman helping me walks away and starts talking to some other woman who had been there previously but did not bring the proper materials again she still did not have the proper materials but the woman is leaving me hanging and speaking to this woman. If I didn’t have my materials I’ll be told to leave or get back in line I’m sure. Deal with whose turn it is. I waited a long time that’s understandable in a place like this. The workers do not need to be rude though because I can give it right back to you 10 times worse. If someone doesn’t have the right paperwork send them away, and keep it moving. Let’s be real. Get it together, ladies. Take a customer service class.

Ridiculous wait (3 hours) only to get to the window and be told they couldn't help me (even though I had talked to 2 people prior who said they could and checked me in so I could be adjusted). Not friendly at all and seriously rude to non English speakers. One lady was very loudly complaining about foreigners coming here not speaking English and not bothering to learn the language, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CLIENT AND ALL THE REST OF US SITTING THERE. While it would have been helpful if she had someone with her that spoke English, you'd think there's at least one person working that speaks Spanish especially since illegals can now get licenses with proper documentation. Thankfully between myself and 2 other patrons she was able to get settled but she was just moving here and trying to get a license so she might not have learned yet and the poor thing looked like she wanted to cry. Other than the one lady working the commercial window everyone was absolutely miserable working there and it was blatantly obvious.

This DMV needs to re-staffed. I have never come across a group of such incompetent individuals. The employees (adults) are absolutely rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. They are out of line and have crossed the line on numerous occasions. Every time I come to this DMV, someone is making up their own rules. It is ridiculous and a majority of the staff truly lacks manners. I will be reporting several members of the staff to their higher ups. Two employees in particular Liz and Steven are extremely unprofessional and unqualified. I tried speaking with a woman named Michelle about her employees’ behaviors, where she would not listen to a word I said and made excuses for her employees unprofessional behavior. If anyone else has received poor, unprofessional, discriminatory, and rude treatment, I urge you to please report it. If I could give this DMV zero stars, I absolute would. I have never experienced such egregious behavior from a state agents before.

Bad experience. 1. The staff, a woman with glass, she recommended my documents are not confirmed even I have filed my Birth Certificate to USCIS, the first class US Government office. She should update her knowledge and information before she recommended anyone. 2. The same woman, she cancels my appointment even I am in the line with only last 10 people after me. She has rescheduled me to the next weekend. Her name is Michelle. I have traveled for over an hour to have a permission document but she rescheduled me whatever reasons. I don’t recommend you guys to come here just in case.

It helps to have 2 pieces of mail for the NJ address you are moving to. A simple bank statement or credit card statement in the mail will suffice as a piece usually. and then the big pieces of identification such as a birth certificate or social security card. I believe they also ask that you bring your out-of-state license, but I'm not too sure about that.
Is Silverton NJ Location open to public/walkin or do u have to make an appointment
6 points of ID. Check the website for details
Do you need appointment to purchase a driving permit for a 24-year-old?
All IDs says that except the ones that say Real Id the real ids are going to be needed starting in 2023 if your going to fly anywhere in the US
You can go on the website where you make the appointment and pick your date and time of what is available on that day
I could not tell you
Wow! Thank you, Paul...
Yes
Currently still closed, ues.
You need to bring your 6 points of ID and $20
What documents do I need for change of address within nj for license and registration ?
Yes make appointment online..Is very easy
Absolutely. Yes
What kind of ID card do you need they vary in price
No.Everything needs appointment
Yes you have to take a"written" test to get a cdl
You need make appointment on the web if you don't have it they bring you back home
I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday
Go anywhere else then here. They are so rude
You need an appointment to renew your medical self certification card
Go on the website to make the appt. You will not have to wait as long
It depends on what you are going for. When I was there this week there were 2 lines, one for appointments and one for walk-ups. Check the NJ motor vehicle website for information on your specific situation.
Thank you I appreciate it.
I did not make another appointment there. I believe you still need to make an appointment
I would think you would need to make an appointment to get any type of document from DMV
They take cards or cash. My daughter just went for her ID only(non drivers ID) and I think they charged $24 they take the picture there. But now they mail your cards and you should receive it in 20 days the rep told my daughter.
Yes you need appointments for Tom's River DMV
https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/drivertopics/decals.htm I just got a response from the MVC and this is what they said RE: License Plate issues Thank you for your e-mail inquiry. The red decals are only available in person and it's for walk-ins only. You must visit a licensing center early. Please check the NJMVC link (https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/locations/facilitystatus.htm before you visit because if it shows a location in RED then that means that agency has reached capacity for the day and isn't seeing any other customers until the following day or is closed temporarily due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. Use the following links to determine which agency is closest to you: https://www.nj.gov/mvc/press/archives/2020/Licensing%20Centers%20and%20Vehicle%20Centers.pdf and https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/locations/facilitylocations.htm. Thank you and please let me know if you have any other current MVC issues. Craig New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Customer Information & Advoc
It may not allow him to enter his Fla ID Number because I think it only accepts the NJ ID numbers. If anything he can call their office and try setting up an appt that way.
No, you need an appointment
Try their website or a different location
They are not a vehicle centre. You have to go somewhere like Lakewood
Yes
I have the same question and I have been receiving conflicting answers.. The MVC website doesn't provide an answer and if you try calling you just waste your time with their automated system. Furthermore there is no link to schedule an appointment for Initial License. They have a link for renewal but it wont let you schedule the appointment with that link..
Yes
Mvc .com
Yes
Schedule appointment
knowledge test. must apply online.
Make an appointment
I did... Not sure what's going on now but scheduling appointment on line was 30 days after.. No sooner.. Good luck
Im not sure but I highly recommend getting one. Its simple to do. You can also do it by mail the info is in the link below https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/vehicles/disability.htm
You should be able to do it online
Might not be avalible or might not be somthing that can be scheduled. Might need to show up and wait in line
You can just walk in but don't go until 10:30am otherwise you will b in line and its cold
Not doing inspections at Toms River.
Everyone gets the re-registration form in the mail. That's one way and another way is to do it online but don't forget to print out your proof that you re-registered. If you can avoid going into a MVC, I would suggest it but if all else fails, try going to the MVC and get their help. Tom's River was professional and courteous. They don't chase people away like some MVC'S.
There are a number of ways to do business with the MVC. When registration is due, you get a renewal by mail. You can renew online and you can set up an appointment. Its fast if renewed online and don't forget to print out to prove your registration is up to date.
My husband and I lived in North Jersey and moved to South Jersey...I updated my new address on our driver's license...I went to your location and asked how can I get an update driver's license and registrations...they said to go online and select duplicate copies...when I do so..the site says I need to actual go to MVC...however they are closed...what else can I do? Thanks
You can't make an appointment for a permit. You have to get there at 4am.Put a chair to hold your spot to get a number.Good luck,we where just there to get my daughters permit
Yes but see if you can get an appointment to help you get through faster
Yes...they have a list and won't let you in without one.
I'm not 100% certain. Call ahead, someone will prompt you in how to move forward
thus power your search engiens for njmvc duplicate/ id dlcard .com search and there in the platform to input your request and make filling cost for service to your listed home adress and in 10-14 days youll get one , in the mean time , what the state gives you is an email you no reply validation memorandum receipt
Depending on your daughter age , library card, school ID , birth certificate etc. !
Yes they are open, but you have to get there EARLY !!! You have to get in line (first come first serve) and then MV will give you a # and they will take your # and send you text as to when you can/should come back... Depending on what time you get there, expect to have to wait a couple hours !!! I was signed in@ 10am and was done at almost 4pm...
Yes the toms river location does this.. think she will need birth cert. Social security card, and some sort of government issued state id
Not sure. I would look at the NJMVC website first. If you can't find an answer there, I'd try calling your local office to find out what kind of paperwork or info you need. Hope it helps.
The earlier you can get there, the better. I just went there 9.02, and showed up at 5am. There were already 30 people in line ahead of me. By 8am, the line was wrapped completely around the building. Once the doors opened, you check in at the front desk, then to another person who makes sure you have everything in order. Then you wait for your number to be called. I was out of there by 915a
No you have to go to Lakewood or Manahawkin
You need to go through the waiting process to get your application, then when you give your 6 points of identification you get approved and then you can get your written test appointment online. Driving test appointments are given after you pass the written and eye sight tests
For lost licences you can get it online without going there in person. They have a page called skip the trip and it explains everything in detail.
I believe they are now. At least I know the people who passed the road test are getting validated. So it might be worth it to go there and ask. There are people you can ask, you don't have to stand in line to ask a question. You'd have to go to toms river for that i believe.
Where do you live? In New Jersey or another state. Whatever state it may be I believe all you need is a valid driver's license and title to register the vehicle.
You can also apply for a realID license, this can be applied for within 3 months of your license expiring
This location was a licensing center only. The wait was a little over 2 hours but the service was excellent and the lady running the door was very helpful, pleasant, and polite. No you can't make an appointment in NJ
If you can wait I'd definitely wait. Motor vehicle has not returned to a normal wait. I'm not even sure which location would take them back. They are using certain locations for registration only and others for licensing
Birth Certificate, Current ID, if it is marriage related, then Marriage License. If you changed it legally, then court documents. SSN Card and Proof of Residence. i.e. Utility Bill.
You're asking a question I've not personally dealt with so I'll say as a thinking person a police report and trip to DMV will take care of all your problems.
You have to go to lakewood motor vehicle inspection station on route 70. I'm sure you can find private gas stations but you'll have to pay for them.
You need to get there by at least 3am.....that will put you at about 90th in line. They stop in the low twos..it's pure ridiculousness that it's still like this
When is written testingopening
I would try calling 1st during hours of operation but also go in person but early
Only License can be done in TR and Lakewood registration I did mine online
Only the lakewood location is doing registration and title
6pts of I'd. Your DL your birth certificate or a passport if you go on website njmvc.com will tell you what else
I dont believe so i went yesterday with about 100 ppl on line there was a sign stating not open until the 8th of july
If you have registration (but not a license) in NJ you should have been issued a NJ ID number you need to use that
I'm waiting !!!!
I don't know. I don't work there. Call them they're very helpful.
Do you have your certified Marriage certificate? Were you married more then once?
Six points title 2 id address birth cert. Social. If ur not certain contact them . also u might need death certificate.
Go in and ask at the desk. I don't work there but these people helped me with things re licences registrations insurance and title transfers. Only takes a minute.
Why are you asking me?
Bring in the title and switch your insurance to NJ policy
I have no idea. I don't work there.
I don't work there so I wouldn't know. I suggest you call them directly.
You should call them directly for an answer
Yes you can but it will only count as 2 points as you need 6 points of identification to renew
Yes if you have your 6 points id
Too many variables to be precise. It depends on whether there are 5 people or 50 in line. What day of week, what time of day, etc. You've asked a question without an answer.
Birth certificate
No but u must have a pink card for restrictions on the driver license.
Nope. You can over the phone or online or in person in a regional service center
Don't know, don't work there.
I lost my license can I go to Hooper Ave Toms River for a replacement. Can I make an appointment
You need proof of current registration, your license and they will issue a duplicate on the spot. Just did it last month for a lost title
You need 6 points of ID. Such as a passport, utility bill, etc. Visit website for approved forms of ID
9 to 1pm
I believe they are all closed
Yes. Utility bills , something like that will work
There is an initial $125 fee to take the written test no sched necessary.
Check the NJ motor vehicle website for specific details
Depending how far expired.
Yes. She needs current license, health insurance and either ss card or atm card or bank statement. A's answe of nope is incorrect. Your current license up to 3 years excited can be used as your primary document
It is actually telling you that you need to renew and it will expire in 2019.
Know your placard # fill out app at a mvc office. Have your ID. You will get a duplicate ID card
17 to get permit. Street legal and dirt bikes you need a license for.
No you have to go to Eatontown Trenton or West Deptford
No
No
From 8am - 1pm
