This school is hands down the best one to attend in San Diego! It is run by Mike who is a very excellent & knowledgeable mixologist. After attending the school for some time, he was able to staff me on events all over the San Diego region whether it was as a server or as a bartender. I felt very well prepared for anything that came my way before he sent me out to do any events. As a student, I am very pleased with with what I got out of this school and can’t thank Mike enough for everything he has done. It is night and day what I know now versus when I first started attending the classes with zero knowledge about mixology. You definitely get your moneys worth with this school, but don’t think you’ll just walk in and get certified right away. Mike is very serious about what he does and will make sure that this school will produce quality bartenders versus quantity bartenders. Again, if you’re deciding which school to attend, look no further and check it out. If you are serious about becoming a great bartender/mixologist, you found the one!

NBS is a fantastic place to learn your basics of bartending. Patty helped me sign up & I also took my TIPS class/certificate with her. She has the knowledge and experience of a long time working bartender and instructor. She would provide the students with anecdotes for every situation you may come across in the industry. Plus, she has a humorous personality making for a very fun/interesting class!

This is an awesome bartending school! I had such a blast learning all the different drinks and being able to practice them whenever I wanted. The school lets you come in whenever you want for however long you want when they’re open. Being able to work at my own pace, I completed the program in two weeks, coming in everyday to practice. After I got my certification, the program was really helpful with job placement. I’ve had several opportunities working through the event staffing company. Overall, highly recommend. The staff are committed to your success, and you walk away knowing an insane amount of drinks!

Best bang for your buck. Make sure to check out this school if you want to check out bartending! Great staff, friendly environment, and big focus on true mixology. Over 100 drinks to learn and a flexible schedule that would work for anyone!

The school is closed in the weekends
Monday through Thursday 12pm and 7pm. Friday is testing and practice from 12-4pm. Saturday 1pm & 2pm. The classes last anywhere from 1 hour to 2 I believe.
Hey Josh, this is a 40 hour national bartender certification, and we have classes daily at Noon and 7PM. Each class lasts usually a couple hours with time to practice behind the bar. Cheers!
No, we do not have classes in Spanish. But, we have instructors who are moderately bilingual, bilingual students who help, and we use Google Translate.

12p and 7pm Monday through Thursday, and 1pm on Saturdays. Fridays are open from 12-4 for testing and practicing, closed on Sundays :)
