Going from US to Mex is a breeze. Bring your US passport. Border agents will x-ray your luggage and belongings. Armed guards are a little intimidating but harmless. Outside the building you will be bombarded with people offering assistance with your luggage. Politely say 'no gracias' and move on. At street side their are various taxi's hawking for your fare. A taxi ride to downtown Tijuana is $7, 140 pesos. If the driver says $10, offer $5 and settle at $7. I prefer the white taxi's, newer Toyota Corolla's. Seem to be reliable and safer. -renaygarseeya

I ran across no problems. Took one hour wait time. Be on the lookout for a man dark complexion in a large π΅ blue truck. He takes cuts brutally. I would of let him go in front of me if he would of signaled or asked. But he just bullied and inched his way in front of my small car. I stayed firm on not letting him. He got some bystander to tell me it's one on one and the both lanes were going into one lane which was a total lie. None of that stuff even happened. He was bad news. He finally got in behind me.

Easy to cross walking with our dog to a Mexican vet to get his teeth cleaned for $200. Us Vet wanted $1500!(crooks). Walked right back and us customs did not check any papers in the dog.
