I like Clinicas del Caminoreal because DR.Sue Walin ceres about the health or her patients, she is a good doctor, the only thing I don’t like is that you have to wait in the room for up to an hour after the appointment time, well in this life not everything can be perfect.

My personal experience with Clinicas has been that, they NEVER have same day appointments. It has happened SEVERAL times!! Scheduling a same day appt with ANY pediatrician or MD available for something like an ear infection or back pain for a child has never been possible!! The options they have provided me are alway the same every time! First option, the representatives from Clinicas will eather offer an available appt a week or two later, (for an ear infection or back pain!🙄😳) or they will offer the option of taking my child as a WALK IN to any of their locations! The problem with walk in appts is that, "CLINICAS DOES NOT GUARANTEE that a patient will be seen as a WALK IN!! I have waited as a walk in for SEVERAL hrs and not been seen. The medical assistants will definitely let you know, "That THERE IS NO PROMISES that your child will be attended!! They will go on and explain how there is more people ahead of you and first come, first served!🤷‍♀️ And I understand that.😌 Kids tend to suddenly have ear infections etc.!🤷‍♀️ Naturally if Clinicas is not available the next option would be Urgent Care right! WRONG!!! Clinicas has some sort of deal/contract with Urgent Care, this deal/contract does not allow Urgent Care to see any patients assigned to Clinicas during Clinicas business hrs. The West Ventura Medical Clinic Urgent Care, and the AFMC Urgent Care have denied services when I have taken my children! Both of these facilities (Urgent Care) have said the same to me. "We can not see a patient from Clinicas during Clinicas operating hrs. I explain how there is no available appts with any of Clinicas facilities but Urgent care will not see my children. There is a policy that allows Urgent Care to call Clinicas and request permission to see a patient but that is to complicated, meanwhile I have to be walking/driving around with my child while he/she is in pain. It's wrong that Clinicas advertises itself as the best in Ventura when clearly they are not! The staff is great, they do their job, I have no problem with them. IT'S THE POLICY THAT CLINICAS DEL CAMINO REAL HAS ABOUT NOT ALLOWING THEIR PATIENTS TO BE TREATED AT AN URGENT CARE WHEN THERE IS NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE! Clinicas needs to make changes and provide better options for their patients!!

I not only waited for 25 minutes to be seen inside the exam room to only be "seen" by the doctor for only 5minutes !! The Dr. Didn't ask ANY health history of mine at all . Didn't even have a chart in his hand or even looked at the computer screen to glance at any of my information. When I did tell him some of my symptoms he just said the answer is birth control. After I had explained to him I have taken it 3 other times and it just does not work for me. He vaguely ignored me and just rambled on about how it would fix my symptoms. When he wasn't even done he got up and started saying they will call me for my appointment follow up; with my exam room door half open talking to a staff member about my appointment where everyone present could hear my personal health problems. All I got to say after this visit is he can at least PRETEND to care for his low income patients. Because you know what it IS A LOW INCOME CLINIC !
