These are the most rude, and unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. They constantly call and never leave a voicemail. If I do end up answering, all they say is to call them back... You're on the phone with me!! Just tell me what you want! I'm not going to call back if you call me and hang up. And on the 1 single person I talked to, they didn't answer my questions and when THEY got frustrated, they hung on me. What a joke.

They're bill collectors making an attempt to collect a debt. I messed around in my early twenties and now I'm paying the price. You better pay these guys before it gets to the state level, because then they'll garnish your wages. Don't get me wrong I hate these guys, but they're just doing their job. Talk to them and ask questions, but remember they're not lawyers. So some questions might be above their head. They helped me set up a payment plan that worked for me. Trust me they'll help you before they hurt you.

READ THIS AND YOU MAY SAVE MONEY! This post comes from someone whom had to deal with Alliance One and will provide you with good information Alliance One does not want you to know. Alliance one is a COLLECTIONS AGENCY, therefore, the more money they collect, the better for them. Each bill collector must collect a specific amount per month or get fired. Alliance One employees will tell you information that will benefit them only. If you have citations in San Diego, the judge will usually place you on a monthly payment arrangement thru the court, which will usually NOT affect your drivers license or credit. However, the moment you are late on your payment by one day, the system will add a $300 Civil Assessment Fee & send you to collections. What you have a right to do, is go to the court system and ask to see the judge. Tell them Alliance One is abusive and demanding payment in full. Ask if the $300 Civil Assessment fee may be removed because it causes financial hardship, and ask if you may be removed from collections because you don't want your credit to be ruined. YOU HAVE THIS RIGHT! YOU CAN'T BE DENIED TO APPEAR IN COURT! If you go to the Alliance One window, they will try to persuade you not to see the judge. Ask to speak to a Supervisor at the window or on the phone. If you are sent to collections, Alliance One may not report this debt to the Credit Agencies until after 30 days, therefore, tell them to place the debt under a DISPUTE status so that you have up to 30 days to appear in court and see a judge. Be respectful to the judge, since he/she may help you. This is NOT legal advice, but this information has helped many. All of the calls must be recorded per law and you can report them to the BBB, FCC or FDCPA. Tell them you will report them to their Corporate office. TRUST me, they will walk on eggshells when you tell them. This information also may apply to the people whom Alliance One collects for as well (Miami, Orlando, Alameda, San Francisco, etc). DO NOT LET ALLIANCE ONE BULLY YOU!

I seriously doubt the legitimacy of this company. A rude man, said his name was Ed Sarza called and threaten me with wage garnishment and warrant for my arrest on a traffic bill I have never seen. I asked him to send the bill to me but he never did, it's been 4 weeks as of this post, 11/8/2010. That's after I confirmed my PO Box to him to send the bill. We all need to put our negative experience with this company in writing and on-line so everyone who should ever need to deal with this company legally will have the proof of the harassment we received from this company.
