These rest areas are blessing in so many ways.We were on a road trip,which took us along the Thruway on the return trip. This old guy needed to stop a few times.As did my passengers. Whether for food,the restrooms, fuel or just to stop for a while,these stops are a part of our trips!

It's a smaller rest stop most people use this place to use the bathroom which is non stop busy. A few national food chains in here as well for a bite if you need that too and some other knick knacks as well. A lot of truckers park here as well as it's a truck rest stop on the Thruway.. Parking can be tight here at times..

While many NYS Thruway rest stops have been renovated this one has not. It is small, with limited seating. Expect long lines for McDonald’s.

Take the orange turnpike to seven lakes drive then go south on Waldron Terrace. Go to the end of the road and that should be where the employees park. I'm looking at the view from Google Earth and I don't see anything that says employees only, but you could always try.

Yes most of them are you can call though to be sure. My dad was a truck driver and he said they all stayed open year round
Nope only heading south. There used to be a foot bridge but it us closed.
