Great rest stop on way to upstate. Clean restrooms and places to eat and chill. (Purachsed some ice from.mini mart for our cooler)

Good selection of food vendors. Kind of weird having a parking garage at a rest area. Probably great for sleeping. Except you can't be armed. It's NY.

Stopped today with a senior citizen group- restrooms are upstairs, escalator “Up” worked but both the elevator and escalator to go back down were not working. Many seniors with canes had to hobble down stairs - very dangerous. They should have posted a sign next to the up escalator - staff was not helpful. There was a woman (not in our group) with a walker trying to figure out how to get down. Haven’t the owners heard of ADA? Disgraceful!

You could but it may not be there when you get back. May get towed it's a rest area not a free parking lot.
It's half way between truck and tourist stop. It's designed and has all the restaurants of a regular tourist rest stop, but it also has large diesel pumps and a separate area for trailers and tandems. But it's a clean, safe, comfortable and mostly touristy rest stop safe for the whole family.
I don't know about leaving a car there alone, I don't see it as a Park-n-Ride, but it may be possible. Other than eating snacks and meals there, we spent the time in our motorhome; not leaving it unattended. It can't hurt to ask management though.
