Positive: It is an old train station and the architecture is great! Negative: The write up includes Carmens, a fabulous restaurant in the hotel that shut down due to Covid restrictions 2 years ago. The current restaurant is mediocre at best. But there are good restaurants nearby. The bar is adequate due to a hard working staf.

I attended a conference recently at this hotel. From my first moment, I was utterly impressed by the staff - they are all about making you feel comfortable and welcome. The architecture is very impressive. If you are looking for a great change of pace, this is worth your stay. The food and drinks are great. I recommend asking the staff for their recommendations - trust me, they will not let you down. This hotel is also with walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and locations. Treat yourself - it's a great place to rest, relax, and enjoy your time in Scranton!

It is all about expectations. When I first got here I felt disappointed but when I looked back on the information about the hotel, I realize I was expecting the hotel to be something its not. There are not a lot of amenities but they embrace being a simple hotel done well. All the staff is friendly and helpful. I never tried Carmen's but it looks nice and the menu is easy to find. Trax was good and had convenient hours. The location is extremely convenient, walking distance to the mall and most of downtown. And it is right at the entrance to the highway. It is a beautiful and historic structure that is well cleaned.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 days for Valentines day. The whole building has a historical feel... with an art deco style inside, and the rooms mix in modern flair with all the marble. Remodeled bathrooms, flat screen TV, coffee maker, comfy beds, quick elevators. I appreciated the outlets right on night stand. You're in Scranton... so there are trains, but they weren't obnoxious to me, and I kinda liked hearing them. I also didn't hear them super early or late. There's a restaurant and bar downstairs. We ate the bar and had a lovely time. The bartender was quiet, but very considerate and helpful. I got the pork chop, and they even ask what temp I wanted it. It was realllyyy good, and they gave you really good portions. It was also creative, served with balsamic peaches... something different and interesting. I didn't interact with the front desk much, but they also seemed friendly, but reserved. They have room service and breakfast pre-ordering available, the prices were reasonable for that too. Had a great time, would stay again.

It is $5, plus tax, daily to park a car in one of our lots on property. You can park in the front lot in the main area of the building or drive around the left side of the hotel to go behind the building and park in the lot to the right, which has cameras and a dedicated entrance that is handicap accessible. Parking around the city is an option available but it's less safe, can be unreliable, and not available 24/7. Thank you for your question. -- Radisson Front Desk Staff
They just redid the fitness area, they hada masseuse area. This is a beautifully restored historic building and very comfortable !
They do not let you check in early
When you check-in we request a credit card if you booked your stay online, or the one booked with the room that is on file. We use that card and authorize a hold for $50, intended for incidentals like parking, room service, and other services. This hold is taken for each night of your stay. After you check out, the amount that was not used is returned onto your card and will be reinstated within 2-7 business days depending on your card and bank. We do not recommend using debit cards at check-in, as it could take longer to return funds. Thank you for your question. -- Radisson Front Desk Staff Representative
The property at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel does not have a pool. Thank you for your question.
Being that this is the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton Pennsylvania, it would be located neither North or South of the question location, but directly on it. However, this former Delaware Lackawanna and Western train station is located about 260 highway miles South East of the trainlines former Easternmost ending location in Buffalo, New York. It is also about 120 high way miles North West of the trainlines original starting location in Hoboken, New Jersey. The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel of Scranton is also located about a half mile South East from the original Delaware Lackawanna and Western station which is now a Martz Bus depot. The trainlines would have run through the Southern part of the now hotel, where you can take a break at the Trax Bar and Grille within the hotel. MLIS Student- Slam the Boards
32 miles, about a half hour drive.
About$140
I believe we paid about $110 for a Tues reservation, and the historic renovations provided an evening's entertainment if you enjoy that kind of thing.
