This office definitely has to be the worst office in Miami-Dade County. The information they tell you one day is NEVER the same the next time you call them. I called them on Friday to try and speak to someone in the plumbing department and I was told everyone is gone by 12 (how convenient) and to call back on Monday before 12. So, I called today at 10 am and I am now told I need to call back on Friday so I can make an appointment for Monday for a virtual visit because they are only doing in-person visits today. (MIND BLOWN) so I said how come nobody said I could make an appointment when I called Friday? and I guess 1 Monday they do in-person appointments and then the other week they do virtually? How does that make any sense? How come the information they give out is never consistent? and don't let me get started with the trash system they have to get a permit.
Service At Comfort Zone
WOW! Ashly in the building department for mechanical permits is AMAZING! She helped me with my permit that I had trouble with. She even went above and beyond to confirm with her supervisor before just telling me what to do. Thank you Ashly!

The whole permitting process is broken and not clear. After a permit is issued and the work is ready for inspection, apparently the e-permitting card is not suffice for the inspector in order to pass the plans. The inspector that came wanted the entire application posted that has the Miami Dade stamp on the pages. Where does it say this is needed for the inspection to pass? I have had several plans in the past that have passed without the entire application posted. Each inspector has a printer and a PC available in their vehicle. Instead of working lean and helping us look this information up on his PC or giving us a moment to reprint it- he refused. Why would you not want to eliminate waste? It's more paper being printed (environmentally not responsible), taking day an additional day off from work for another inspection to be scheduled, and the inspector having to come back out. Waste of his time, my time, and tax payers money. The process should be spelled out as to what happens after you receive the permit and call for an inspection. Overall, the permitting process is awful and disjointed.

Get a professional, an architect or engineer to legalize it for you
Go to the building. The inspection building. They'll have it.
M Romero roofing did my roof. They pulled all permits and did a great and timely job. I highly recommend them.
The building is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except holidays.
Don't think so but ask the post control company
Yes
Yes as the new code gives tolerance in the distance
You do need a permit for demo structure/plumbing/electric. If you are only demoing a partition wall you are good, but the rest requires a permit as far as I am concerned.
just email customer service at the office and theyll ask you for WC, COI and License. I did it not too long ago then they will give you tradesman number that you use for permits
Yes
Open regular hours except December 25th & January 1st
The form is simple. It must be filled out by the property owner and the contractor also notary. You have to pay for the number of processes.
I've only dealt with solar permits so I'm sorry I wouldn't know.
A contractor should help with that especially if its bringing something up to code. Permits have to be issued.
Look for permit/applications tab and enter property information in the search criteria , best to have folio #. Have a great day.
The electric contractor and the steering only
You must go to the city with a letter from the Association and they will tell you the next step.
Main page of Miami Dade county code enforcement has very useful links
Yes. Just go to the information desk. Even though it is a step by step process, and go with patience. Best regards
On this link you can find a description of the construction work exempt of a permit. http://www.miamidade.gov/permits/exemptions.asp
They don't know don't you think i thought about that??? Not even the Dade County building department knows what to do o what dept will take care ??
They are not private company they do not have imminent domain. But if your house had a Utility easement you do not have another option. Check the records of the host.
Assuming you are seeking to start a parcel box business, such as a UPS store, you would need to visit your planning and zoning office first. Secondly, the scope of work involved in the development of physical space of your location would also determine if you need a "building" permit.
