Something has to give. I've seen some reviews that the company is outdated. Come on, things have to change. I've had some issues with them. This is the second time. My water bill has come back high and it's been due to incorrect reading of the meter. I know for a fact that my family hasnt used that much water. Please either get new technology or have some one more efficient read the meter correctly. I shouldn't have to call in twice for the same issue.

You will suffer here if you own a business. This "Outfit" will deny, limit and condition you at every turn. Never will you find any semblance of customer service as it is obvious that their motto is: "WE CANNOT CARE LESS" staff is apathetic and rude, it's their water and you must suffer for it, is the common attitude. Phones are busy, fax machines are busy and emails go into low earth orbit. There is a constant flow of gatekeepers with lists of demands and tolls to pay. It is had to believe that this is the standard in a modern American city. You will experience what you you'd expect from a department run by Saddam Hussein. #nowaterforyou

Thank you but I do not pay water because it's already included in my maintenance thank you I'm probably being contacted because I left on the comment section I wish the water and sewer department a Merry Christmas and that you guys work very hard and go unnoticed I just wanted to thank everybody that I have clean water and never had a problem. The water deposit is generally $100 the service charge is $45 unless the property is a serviced for water only then the deposit is $50. This applies to residential accounts.
I am really sorry, and i apologize on behalf of the Water & Sewer Dept. Please call 311 and give a complaint. Give the 311 caller the name of the customer representative the time you called. I don't work in customer service, but I know personally many employees working in that Division and they are lind, caring and professional people who have been through so much training, and also they want to help the public with whatever problems you have. I am sorry that you were holding on the phone for so long.

There is no set price. All usage is calculated through your meter and then applied to the rate schedule (posted online). You can see if you qualify for a pool credit (application and information on website). The pool credit credits the sewer charges only (which are at a higher rate), since the water is sitting in the pool. You still pay for the water, but there is no way to tell what the increase will be on your bill.
I dont really understand your question. If your asking who would be responsible for work....anything on your property and if you have a septic tank and want to connect to the city...its your responsibility as an owner to take care of that. Anything not on your property aside from connecting to the city is on the city itself... I hope this helps if not your best bet is to communicate with the mdws yourself and get accurate information from them. Great group of people understanding.
