Jack was nice but his weird worker was not and was talking down at me and yelling at me for no reason place is a bit small compared to main place and now they're actually closing down

This place is EPIC ! In these uncertain times, when you really need food, or even if like me you just moved into your own place. Mind you after having lost everything along the way. Except your clothes, and a little bit of sanity. This place was there today, the ladies that helped my friend Will and I. Were so very empathetic, and kind. I felt weird just being handed things by complete strangers normally. But with this place I could tell there was no judgment. May the gods BLESS you kind Ladies, and keep doing what you do. You showed me a light at the end of my tunnel. So head on out and get treated like a NEIGHBOR !

These guys are awesome! We showed up to volunteer to help sort the donations. (They need all the help they can get, too, so if you ever want to volunteer, pop by!) They will take all sorts of donations at this location, sort them into categories, then send them downtown to help those using the mission. It's a really neat operation. Everyone is friendly, too.

I like donating here. They take everything! Wall art, canvas art, silverware, dishes, and of course clothes and shoes! I appreciate the people here coming out to help me load everything into carts. Especially because I've donated multiple carts in my two trips the past few weeks. (Moving and downsizing.) When something looked heavy, they jumped in and grabbed it for me. This will be my go-to donation location from here on out.

Absolutely! Thank you for thinking of those less fortunate.
Our Mens Center would love this! Please call Pat at 402 871 9442
Yes, most donations dropped off at our Elkhorn Outreach/Donation Center are transported to our Main Campus (by the airport) for distribution there. Thank you for your question!
Thank you for thinking of us. We do not take mattresses of any kind. Please try Salvation Army or St Vincent De Paul.
Absolutley, we have collection cannisters/bins in the drop off loaction areas
We apologize as Open Door Mission is not able to accept any type of mattresses. Try Salavation Army
They will come out to your car with a bin.
Thank you for your patience. We are still working on this and hoping the middle of August. But the Main Campus Timberlake Outreach Center is Open as well as Council Bluffs. Blessings
Yes, we sure do!

Check website for Elkhorn Open Door..it will give you info
Thank you for thinking of Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Yes, we would gladly accept all of those items.
They take just about everything... They will not come pick up stuff
Yes, i have seen furniture in good condition at the Elkhorn location.
The front door IS the drop off area. This is a collection-only place. They will come out to your car and help you put your stuff in a large rolling bin. They'll take it inside the door to the right and put the bin on a scale. You can get credit for how many pounds you donate. Then, to the left of the entry door is a computer where they can email you a receipt if you'd like. It goes very fast.
I've seen them at Goodwill. You could try there.
Any nerf guns or swords or anything that will be turned in to a weapon
They are open until 6 & there is always someone to help.
