Site #03, It’s the best site if you don’t get lake facing sites. This campground is right next to Willamette highway, so if you can’t tune-out heavy traffic noise then it’s not the site for you. It’s fully shaded, therefore you can sleep little longer (instead of waking up at 5 AM you can sleep up to 6 or 7 AM)

Love this campground but the guests and camp hosts are hit and miss. Was hit hard by winter and still has a lot of cleanup and conservation remaining. Many sites closed with down trees.

This was a great campground. It has tons of space (at least in the spot we were in). It has vault toilets that were very clean. It is a bit noisy due to proximity to the highway. It has a boat dock at one end that we used to kayak across the lake. If you are kayaking it has a nice beach next to the dock to launch from. The spots on the water were also awesome in that you can kayak or boat right up to your spot. We also used the day use area to hang out on the water since we weren't in a waterfront camp spot. The camp hosts were also very nice. Be aware though that there is no running water here so pack it in or come prepared to filter your own from the lake.

I'm bummed that I have to give it one star because I've camped at Odell my entire life, and I've never given a negative review anywhere. The campground itself is lovely, although I don't understand why they got rid of the potable water.. Anyway. The reason why I leave the bad review is that the camp hosts are genuinely mean. They would drive around the loop regularly, looking for any possible reason to yell at people. They yelled at people who had set up chairs near the water in a vacant site. They yelled at us for not being parked enough on the gravel (which is very spread out and mixed in with the rest of the dirt) and threatened to throw us out of the campground over it. And when I say yelled, I mean yelled. In front of children. It was a disproportionate reaction to the issue. We had no problem with moving our car, but their behavior was ridiculous. We spent the rest of the trip worried that we would do something else to upset them. It soured what was otherwise a lovely stay.
