It's the mecca for tennis players in Miami sort of. The tennis center can have a desolate feel to it especially if you have a historical contact about all the tennis that has been played at this venue when the tournament was called The Lipton. Here is tour of the facility which has a two to one lizards to human ratio. Club has online reservations if you want to secure a court in advance.

Cool place to play! You can rent equipment from a store locally (if you’re from out of town) Sad the professional tournament moved, as this is a cool setting at Key Biscayne. Not very expensive to rent courts either.

I was pretty upset when I learned the Hard Rock would be hosting the Miami Open. That venue will never have the heart of Crandon Park in Key Biscayne. A little secret for those visiting: you can play in the stadium for an hourly fee.
