Whenever you go to Salvation Army and ask for help with anything, I found they say "no" regardless how small the assistance is that you're asking for help with. They do have a food pantry but the things in there I know are donated and Salvation Army did not buy that food. I know their thrift store in Lincoln is closed but even when it was open, they didn't want to help the needy with things in there and would say they don't operate that thrift store but Omaha does. So, if they wouldn't help the poor and needy with things in their thrift store (which store is closed now), they probably don't help people in Lincoln with monetary donations they get from Lincoln residents either. People think Salvation Army as a respectable place that is kind and benevolent, but if you are needy and try to get help there, you'll see a different side to them. And it's not just Salvation Army in Lincoln that is like this but Salvation Armies in other cities are also. I do not believe they share monetary donations from the public with the needy in the community. If they did, they wouldn't be saying "no" to all requests for assistance as they always do.

Staff, especially Cary at the front desk, is very nice. Never feel any judgment. The food selection is much better than most food banks

They are kind and helpful. They provide a much needed and valuable service to the community. People should aspire to be like the angels of mercy that staff and support organizations like these.

if you are a family of low-income Marin need the Salvation Army can help you get a turkey for Thanksgiving and all the trimmings will help you get a ham for Christmas unless you don't eat ham and I'll give you another turkey you just need your social security card and your ID for each person in the household and your income and proof of income and they will hook you up but you have to do it before the 3rd I think they're taking applications today tomorrow and the next day for the turkeys for Thanksgiving so don't miss it!

You may get into the seating for food any day but weekends but to make the event more expeditious, call 402 474 6263 before you arrive in case there is an exception. Otherwise you simply walk in and go straight ahead to the desk and let them know you are here for food. They will instruct you to wait and they will call for someone to come and get you to show you your foods available.
Not usually, the lords dinner a couple of blocks away serves dinner daily free
