Pat Brennan, your business is disgraceful, apparently theft, fraud are ok with you. Unfortunately I was directed to your location to swap out an avis vehicle I was renting that had a malfunction. As a franchise store I can appreciate this would impact your revenue taking a working premium vehicle off your lot for one that needed service. In fact initially your desk person refused to process the vehicle exchange, until someone told her she had to. Apparently You decided that I personally should pay for your lost revenue. Your desk person charged me for a full tank of fuel at the service fee rate, and a $250 dirty car service fee , it was not at all. Both fees were hidden until I completed two week rental... I've filed a complaint w avis, after 10days now waiting resolution I'm about to give up. In round numbers YOU stole $350 ,that's misdemeanor theft. it's less about the money as it is your integrity , applying a fee that I would pay to offset your loss.

My experience was great. They accompanied my last minute request and made the process painless. We needed a rental after a crash and the gentleman who helped me made sure we were taking the right steps for an insurance reimbursement. I would not hesitate to choose this location in the future.

The customer service was ok in the beginning, however the vehicle was not clean inside or outside. The rental process and agreement wasn't explained at all. Here are your keys, see you later. Upon returning the vehicle I was informed the deposit would be posted at midnight. That didn't happen. Called and spoke with Pat. He didn't know how to explain anything; extremely poor customer service and very rude. Called the next day after deposit not posting. Again Pat answered-- rude and not helpful. This guy should definitely not be in customer service. His best fit would be in a room by himself doing a job that doesn't involve talking with people. There a place for everyone in the workforce. Not everybody is made for customer service .

Last weekend, our car broke down in Emerald Isle late on Friday night. I immediately looked online for the closest car rental business. Avis was the only one open on Saturday. I was able to make a reservation online. However, when we got there on Saturday morning no cars were available. The Big Rock Festival was going on during the time and every car rental business was sold out. When I called in I had been routed to the national number. We needed a car to get back home and work on Monday (2.5 hours away). The manager and his staff were awesome. They were able to get us a car later that day. They had it all cleaned up and ready to go when we got there. The service there is excellent and they follow COVID safety protocol. I would highly recommend Avis in Morehead City. I would call the store directly though to make sure there really are cars available. The shortage of cars is an issue everywhere.
