I had a similar avis experience just this week. I was billed $250 for a "dirty car" it was not .. I've disputed the charge, waiting photos showing the issues, I doubt there will be any. I also learned that avis has franchise locations... be very careful dealing w locally owned stores in this instance they are actually stealing, very dishonest - its fraud.
Inflated how? Was the car returned on time? Was the car returned excessively dirty? Was the car returned full of fuel? You will have to call corporate to dispute any charges.
