We got a kitten for only 20$. They didn’t tell us he had a respiratory infection. He was in the cage with other kittens, respiratory infection in cats is contagious. Would not adopt from the shelter again.

Such great people! After losing our kitty of 15 years we went there to adopt someone new to love and found a couple very sweet kitties that needed us!.Much to my husband's dismay I wished I could take them all home with us! Please go there and adopt if you're able.

One person I was greeted by inside could have been more kind but overall they got me in and out in a timely manner, seemed the animals are well cared for and they are following guidelines for the animals. One was outSide walking a dog around and she looked happy, her and the dog and that make me feel good about the well-being of the animals here at Pender County Animal Shelter. We will def be going back when ready to take on an animal!

Went here just to look after our sweet Hellboy died. I saw a pure white female German Shepherd and told my husband let's see how she reacts to us. The moment the brought her to my husband, that was it! She was his all out so we took her home. We liked the place and staff so much that several months after my sweet cat had to go be with God I went and adopted two brothers, Romeo and Valentino. Thank you Pender for completing our family

Yes
Call the shelter
I am sure they would accommodate
Not sure, maybe try to call them to find out something. If they don't maybe they can refer you to a place that does. Hope this helps.
I don't believe there's a volunteer program. You should call the shelter
They are open on Sunday. But not all day
Not to the public. It is against the law as we are not a medical facility. Only for our adopted pets. You must go to a veterinary clinic for that service or do it yourself
They usually have plenty of female dogs
We do not have vouchers; that is the humane society 910-259-7022 is their number.
We do not have a volunteer program; Please check with the Pender County Humane Society 910-259-7022
You would need to call animal control 910-259-1349 or NC Wildlife.
You can walk by cages Best shelter I've been to in 3 states
Must be over 18, have government issued photo ID
Notify pender county sheriff's office and lodge a complaint they will send animal services to investigate
I believe so, call the prison on weekdays and ask to speak to programs director
It is not illegal in Pender County to tether. They must have access to food, water and shelter when tied. If that is being violated call Animal Control at 910-259-1349
No
If they can't help, try Friends of Feline.
I don't work for Pender. You need to .ask them. They have many kittens and cats. Get a sweet cat and save a life
You went to the humane society they have split hours. We are at 3280 New Savannah Rd Burgaw NC 28425.
Yes. Sometimes. They are short handed. But pretty good at helping
Pender county Animal shelter is a no kill and I got a great Lab Puppy from them
Pender county animal shelter has a website. And sadly, they always have cats. We found or most recent adoption by driving up just to spend some time playing with the dogs and cats that were there. You should try it.
You would have to call them directly in order to find out, but I really don't think that they get a lot of birds in on a regular basis.
Absolutely, I will try my best! :-)
