I sat waiting for over 4 hours to just get a state ID which was reciprocated with an apology because they were "figuring out lunch" when the entire time I sat there waiting they sat in the photo areas just talking to each other until they left and the other shift came in. I get coming to the dmv takes a while, but over 4 hours is ridiculous when I wasn't taking a road test or needing anything other than to renew my photo ID. Plus I had my boyfriend who was on crutches with me at the time so we were there the whole time with no seating options for him.

I don’t know what the others that took their driving test are talking about. I was nervous to go here after reading multiple bad reviews. The people are extremely nice and I got in and out in less than an hour. The lady also let me retake my license photo if I did not like the way it looked.

To apply for your learners permit you will have to print out and fill out the paper form and take it to either your doctor or med express. Med express is a walk in clinic and you pay a fee. You get your results same day for a physical. You basically need a simple physical in order to get a learners permit. Doctor will fill out the rest of the form same day and all you have to do is return to Penn dot with your paper form signed by a doctor, also bring your social Security card, photo ID, birth certificate. money for the fee $35 which can be debit/credit money order. Good luck!

Old guy with white short hair and the big belly who checks people in was extremely rude has no social skills at all, let’s just say if he spoke the way he did to me if no one was around I would’ve gladly put him in his place Zzzz. Get him out of a customer service role and make him clean the dirty bathrooms. Also the lady at one of the stations was having a conversation on the phone with her friend while handling my paperwork. This whole place was very unprofessional!
