There is a new employee that's very strict. You are better off going to the help hub at the Harrleson center or Salvation Army. A couple of people I knew was kicked out with no explanation. The new employee is very ruthless and ugly. Please don't ask for help it's a big waste of time. My friend is in fear for her life and they wont do anything to help her, her ex is very abusive too. They used to be very helpful until the new girl showed up.

Most all Domestic Violence shelters need volunteers. I'm from Wilmington NC and we use volunteer
Yes call the office they have someone there that can speak with her.
I agree. Abuse comes in many forms. Seek out their help and support. I believe they still have a 24 hr staff available to answer calls. Stay strong, you are worth it❤️
They dont offer counseling for men but can refer him to someone who can help.
We have a counselor available. As of now, most of our services are being provided virtually. You can call our 24/7 number at 910-343-0703 to speak with an advocate who will be able to assist you and give you more information.
Call Open Gate. Not sure if they will be open tomorrow as it is Veterns day but you can leave a message and they will return your call. I know you have to live in New Hanover County but they will be able to give you information on how to go about your situation.

You should call them directly to make arrangements and/or you might need to drop it off as a cashiers check or money order...
U could get in the same day you call. It's not guaranteed it depends on space and urgency. Call them if you help they won't let you down.
