The surroundings are, of course, beautiful; and I'm grateful they are pet-friendly. Great price. My complaint and recommendation is about guest safety. Being over the age of 60 and with arthritis, I was disappointed to discover an awkward high tub/shower situation, with NO grab bar and NO non-slip bath mat. It was difficult instead of the intent to be soothing, Upstairs guests can be heard quite a bit--need some noise insulating or deflecting.

Beautiful scenery. Bartender made a really good Top Shelf margarita. One man band was great. Pool tables were free. People were friendly.

Place was OK, but Restaurant and Bar were closed due to a Murder Mystery event. It would have been nice to know that access would not be available before we booked the room. They should have taken care of their hotel guests but they didn't really care, it was very upsetting as we planned on dinner at the hotel and had to drive miles, ended up with a sandwich from the local market. Very romantic...not!

This place is full of character! At first, it is a nondescript, "always being renovated ", aging motel. Then, as the day goes on, the locals show up and live music starts. It quickly turns into quite the happening spot. There's a full bar, a diner, and a liquor store onsite. Staff is really sweet. But the pool will not be open for years, nor will the "Brook Room". Will definitely be back!

The Brookroom was not near the fire. The Brookroom and log cabin are still intact. The pool and Mermaid room are still intact. All of these areas are still closed to the public due to renovation. We have been complimented on the strength of our wifi especially for being in such a small mountain town!

Hi Eric, Yes, we still have the original "Brook Room" and are hoping to have renovations done by late 2021. We are currently servicing hotel rooms and have a market on the property open as well. Additionally, we are hoping to open our bar and lobby soon. Thank you and stay safe!
