My family member had a very bad experience here. They were very systematic in moving people from their residential program into their outpatient program (Sober Living Home) so that they could free up beds for more people. The minute a spot opened up in the sober living home, a person would be moved there even if their 30-days weren't complete. They would say the insurance wouldn't pay. The owner was absolutely in it to make money. It was no secret that he had people write positive reviews. I mean, look at all the 5-star reviews! Doesn't that seem a bit implausible?

If your anything like me, your looking at this recovery center in comparison to others and are sitting there thinking, 100+ 5 star reviews... something seems fishy here. I would encourage you to set aside your scepticism and choose this recovery facility. The staff, everyone from the chemical dependency technicians(endless love for Paul, Maha, Mitch, Julian, Kendra, Janelle, and that ping pong master Phil) to their counselors( Hi Jake, Laura, Jane) to the teachers that come to the house( miss you Chris and Gary) are recovering addicts with varying degrees of clean time that understand the process of recovery and have empathy for the clients there. With 24 beds(16 male, 8 female) this program is appropriately sized. Some places seem to be squeezing every dollar they can out of their recovering clients which is the unfortunate reality of the world we live in, but NLRC is far from that. It's the closest thing to a mom and pop run recovery house that places the emphasis on structure, education, and community. Having myself recently completed a 30 day stay at this facility I can tell you that this was the best experience of my life. It's the perfect place to be the transition from your old life to your new life. How much you take away is ultimately on you, and when I arrived at NLRC I had zero capacity to want it for myself. This place protected me from me for long enough that I could learn that I wanted change, would take what was being offered, and make this the pivotal moment in my life where I began to create the life I wanted away from heroin and meth. Give yourself or your loved one the opportunity to change their life and go to New Life Recovery Center. Janet was beyond helpful in running my insurance and letting me know what to expect before i entered. None of the other facilities we contacted(the camp, the farm) seemed to be as helpful and as encouraging that change was possible. Jake, my counselor filled out weekly reports to send to my insurance to keep me there, which from what i have heard from other facilities does not always happen. Yes i know this sounds like a running ad but this place saved my life, I would gladly tell everyone looking for residential treatment to go here

When I arrived at New Life I was a mess. I was scared of the unknown. I was scared to be away from my family and friends. And I wasn’t 100 percent sure that I was going to be able to treat my addiction. Within 20 minutes of being there I was welcomed, put at ease and fit right in place with the other clients. The staff was great and very helpful. The food was amazing. I don’t think there was a meal I did not enjoy. And the counselors, the ones who helped me get insight to the root of my problem(s) were amazing. I cannot find the words to describe or explain the help and support I got from the counselors. Not to sound clichéish but it was life changing for me. I will forever be connected to New Life. I originally signed up for 30 days but ended up staying for 60+ days. It was the best decision I made for my life and my family. I highly recommend New Life for anyone who is serious about facing their addiction. Best wishes on your new journey.

Prior to coming to New Life for outpatient services I had a poor experience at another facilities in patient program. Although I was sober, the other facility failed to provide the counseling and education I needed to begin my recovery. Upon leaving in patient I moved into a New Life sober living home and began their outpatient program. Over the course of my time with New Life I have had nothing but positive experiences. My house was clean, well managed, and provided a healthy environment to grow. The lessons taught at outpatient classes were relevant, well planned, and interactive. New Life changed my life for the better. I would like to thank Janet, Chris, Marie, Gary, and Ryan for helping me get to the next stage in my recovery. I would also like to thank John and Ryan B. for running a great sober living house.
