Like others have mentioned, you get what you pay for. I've used Amica for my auto insurance since I began driving, they've serviced my renters insurance and soon to be my house. They've always done good by me and are reasonable and fair. My car has been hit and run three times and Amica has always been there to help me out and get my car back on the road. When my wife's parked car was hit and totaled, Amica had people out immediately to get our car appraised, then towed, then a check cut to us so we could move on getting a new car. Sure, it might be more than the companies you see advertising on TV, but they've done right by my family who's used them for years, and they've always done right by me. Thanks Amica!

Honestly, you get what you pay for. I have used Amica for my home insurance , renters insurance and now vehicle insurance... I will never use any other insurance company. Amica has always exceeded my expectations from the start, beginning with roof damage from a hail storm. While all the neighbors were siting around waiting for their adjusters, Amica’s was at my house within 24hrs of filing a claim, I had a check in my hand 3 days later for everything that was damaged, even the fabric cover for my grill that the storm blew holes in! My neighbors that were using State Farm, Allstate, etc...were getting the run around and nickels for the damage to their homes because their insurance companies did not want to pay. Needless to say, my neighbors had never heard about Amica. Fast forward to 2018 when I moved my car insurance from Geico to Amica... someone rear ended me and totaled the car I had just paid off. Amica got me more than I ever expected for my car and I was able to purchase another one with a nice down payment. The team at Amica is solid, professional, empathetic and knowledgeable. So whatever negative comments you see here, I hope that you will consider the value you get for the price you pay if you think they are too expensive. In my 30 yrs of experience with insurance companies, Amica is hands down the best insurance company I have ever had to deal with.

As far as car insurance goes, they were the lowest price I could find which made me worry that the price would reflect in my dealings with the company. I was pleasantly surprised when I, unfortunately, had to submit a claim when my car unexpectedly burst into flames. They were caring and empathetic and very professional. Everything got settled within a week and they called me every step of the way just to update me on how my claim was going. I couldn't have been happier with the whole situation!

Amica sent to me a letter which says that people are saving an average $449 compare with other insurances. I called them for a quote, and we started with a home insurance. I live in Oakland Hills, CA. I provided to them exact coverage numbers with my current Geico insurance so that we were comparing apples with apples. Their quote was $2244 and my current Geico premium is $1159 for exactly the same thing. Amica is lying on their marketing letters and bull-sheeting people. Just ignore them and don't waste your time.

Your policy has specific limits for rental reimbursement coverage. If you need to extend your rental period, you may be responsible for additional costs. If you are not at fault, you may be able to recover the additional expense from the at-fault party.
The purchase of a damage waiver, or additional insurance, is not covered under rental reimbursement coverage on your auto policy. It only waives your deductible. However, it is your choice whether or not to purchase this coverage from the rental agency.
Most policies have a $20 per day limit, up to $600 total, included in the collision and other than collision coverage. You may also purchase higher rental limits.
Your Amica auto policy extends the same coverage limits to a rental car, but in some cases you may need more coverage. There may be certain benefits to purchasing additional insurance, but please note that this may result in out-of-pocket expenses. Coverage for rental cars applies in U.S. territories only.
If the stolen items are permanently installed in the car and you have comprehensive (other than collision) coverage, the loss is covered under your auto policy. However, if the stolen property is something that you put in your car, such as CDs or a GPS, this is usually covered under a home policy, as part of your personal property coverage. Certain restrictions may apply.
The general rule is that insurance follows the car. For example, if you have an accident while driving someone else's car, that person’s insurance would apply first. Your auto insurance may provide coverage if the owner of the car did not have auto insurance or didn’t have enough coverage to pay for the damages. Exclusions may apply, so it’s best to contact us to discuss the specifics of the loss and determine possible coverage.
Collision coverage covers physical damage to your auto caused by a collision with another car or object. Comprehensive, which is also known as other than collision, covers physical damage to your auto, including fire, theft, vandalism and broken glass.
