Stayed here end of April 2022 on our Anniversary trip. It was definitely an historic inn with a lot of personality and charm. My grandmother had a house in South Carolina that was built in the late 1890s, so this place reminded me a lot of her house. They have some rooms set up for viewing old photos and paraphernalia from the late 1880s and a typical "Jack London" room decorated as it would be at the turn of the century. There is also a section dedicated to the local "ghost town" of Golden which existed during the mining years starting in 1881. It is worthwhile to take a walk around the hotel and read the articles on the wall to get an appreciation of the history of the Inn. The room we had #8 was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. The water handles in the bathroom sink were a little bit hard to turn off, but other than that, no complaints. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was great! The pulled pork and beef brisket were both very tasty, as well as the chocolate mint brownie. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The old cash register was very cool and worth a picture. It had buttons for pint, 1/2 pint, and quart, as well as buttons for different dollars and cents amounts. There are not many rooms available for stay, so if you are on the fence, book now as it may not be available when you check back.

This was a unique stay. It had plenty of history. I booked my Clark Gable suite well in advance. The hotel sent instructions on how to obtain key before arrival. The room was very unique and appropriate. The location was not the nest because the gas station across the street attracted all the local ruffians. The only problem we had was that the only coffee maker in the building was inoperative. That is a big no no when you don't have a coffee maker in each room. Otherwise it is worth the stay.

I ate at the restaurant two times in a span of two weeks as I was staying at the Wolf Creek Park (nice campground nearby). The meatloaf was awesome. The pork loin (which was the dinner special) was good. Service is great. Beautiful building and awesome history.

Great place to stay overnight, comfortable bed, delightful room, beautiful grounds, interesting inn and lovely people, other adventure seekers, and inn keepers, both. Just keep in mind, it's an older building, renovated with so much charm, but sounds carry throughout. It can be super quiet, and lively, too. Restaurant and bar are adequate, and open hours are limited. I will, happily, stay again. It's a very reasonable rate for an unique experience.

I definitely shall when I'm in the area. And I'm bringing a camera and a fishing pole lol I know the area as used to live in Kfalls but got any recommended fishing hot spots? (Fly-fishing)
Yes, it is haunted. i just stayed there a few days ago with my boyfriend, my boyfriend felt the spirts as soon as we parked in front of the inn. A lot of people died there. Don’t think the spirits would harm anyone, I was very calm and tried to be happy all the time. Other then that ,The staff was awesome, great hospitality, great home cooked food, and very friendly.

Yes, we have 4 pet friendly guest rooms
It was built in the late 1800s, each room has its own bathroom, except the 2 bunk rooms.
From their website: "Pets must be leashed or carried while inside and outside on the grounds. Please pick up after your pet. Pets are not allowed inside the building except in guest rooms 1,2,3 & 4. Please use the guest entrance only when coming and going with your pet. Dogs must not be left unattended by their owners. If your pet creates a disturbance or becomes aggressive toward anyone, you will be asked to remove the pet promptly. The owners agree to be present or remove their pets from the room during housekeeping service or while any staff is present in the room. Please notify the front desk as soon as you know you’re bringing your pet with you. A $10 pet fee will be charged to your room."
Knowing the food and ambiance here I can only imagine it will be a wonderful and magical experience. Hope you can make it to enjoy it.
We stayed over the summer and I had no idea it was supposedly haunted until the Inn Keeper told us about it. I was freaked out, totally not into the haunted thing. Fortunately for me, we didn't see anything out of the ordinary, however. When I got home and showed my "ghost hunter" friend the pictures she noted some translucent faces and orbs in the background. I dont know, I think if you want to believe, believe. It is a fantastic place to stay in the most beautiful of settings. You will enjoy your stay with or without ghosts.
It's owned by the parks and run by people who lease it in 5 year blocks. The current leasee is great.

Not these days. Most wolves in Oregon are on the Eastern half of the state.
They do say its haunted. Actually. As well as the town of golden just up the street. Ive grown up around this place. Always had a creepy vibe to it. But if you get the time to check it out. Its a beautiful building. One that jack london himself stayed at.
Yes it very much is
Elaborate a little more your question doesn't a hundred percent make sense are you trying to ask if the neighbors have seen anomalies ?
Yep if you look at the pictures on the Google Map (street view) and look in the window on the left hand side of the building from the front door you can see eyes in the outline of a person and set you on the road at the front door move to the side road zoom in very close to the downstairs window left hand side of the building from the front door
