I’ve come here during a bit of a tough time in life to sell some of my old coin collection. The folks at Castro Valley Coin and Currency could not have been better. They have given me way more than a fair value for what i brought in if you ask me. Very grateful to get a fair price and then some for part of my collection. Thank you!! I truly hope that one day I’m on the other end of a transaction here.

Completely useless a front business like other coin collectors as usual. Every coin collector is conniving and manipulative. Sick of it wish I can cut the head snake. Done with fake appraisals money is more important than peoples lives. Don’t ever go here if your new or don’t have any connections with the mob..

Best place ever!! The guys that work there are totally awesome and helpful! My son had such a great experience he wants to go back tomorrow!! Thank you for the generosity in pricing, the AMAZING customer service and the sweet 5th grade Graduation gift! You guys rock! You'll definitely see us again and again!

They're awesome! Went in with a gold necklace to sell. I had done some googling beforehand so I had a number in mind. Their first quote exceeded my number... Gave me 90% of the meltdown volume. I know some shops will offer you 50% or 70% hoping you don't know what it's worth... And then I asked if they took foreign currency and a few other items. Their answer every time was, "Bring it in! Just bring it in and we'll see what we can do." Money, stamps, etc. Only went to them after four jewelry shops were closed, didn't answer their phones, or just said they didn't buy. I'll definitely be back.

I think you have to bring it in for them to see to get a price.

They did not charge me anything for the appraisal. They also honored the appraisal when I brought the coins/cash back to sell them.
