I had my telecaster plekd here. It was expensive, and the improvement was marginal, but it was an improvement and the guys working there are really good dudes. The turn around time was pretty slow but long turnaround times with good luthiers is kinda the normal these days. Bottom line: if you have the money and want it done right, take it to sf guitarworks. If you're a starving musician, maybe take it somewhere else

Took the guitar setup and maintenance class a while back just getting to reviewing it now. The class was awesome and Geoff was patient and efficient in his teaching method. My guitars are more cared for and well played than ever. Some of the best money I’ve spend toward gear. I hope to take more classes in the future!

There aren't many places left in San Francisco. You can go to guitar center but they are known for not giving good prices especially with people who are not knowledgeable about what they have. Starving Musician in Berkeley is much better. Also Reverb.com is a great place to sell online. Either way check online and see what other people have been selling similar instruments for to get a good idea of the value. Good luck!
