I love this lake. Very calm and peaceful. Good for kayaking and fishing. Big lake with no gas motors which make it so quite.

Lots to see and explore in this park. Some of the trails are not super maintained but the are well marked. Lots of ticks. There is a museum open April- November.

Cool Blend of history & hiking trail. Counterclockwise will take you up the steep/technical portions, with a winding easy descent after. Tall Grass overgrowing many parts of the trail, we picked up many Ticks even with spray.

Nice little hiking trail with old steel mill ruins scattered throughout. Streams. Wide, flat trails with some placards explaining what used to be here. Pretty pretty interesting. Ponds seems decent for fishing. Saw a bunch of fishermen walk past. Definitely appropriate for kids, dogs, etc.

You definitely need a permit, it is not a public space it is state owned. Call the Ringwood State Park office, nothing worse than having your photo session shut down, permits are required for all commercial photograpy
I was there one day around closing and an employee was driving around checking but I didn't notice gates by the parking.
