The only thing they learned and know good about the auction is the auction fee! Been waiting there for about one and half hour to pick up a car! and if buyer don't pick them up within 2 business days they charge you a penalty/storage fee! If you can't handle it, give your customer 3-4 business days for pick up. Respect your customers, we do not get these cars for free, we pay for it and you make money by collecting the fees, so is not our fault to wait for a couple of hours to get a car just because you don't have enough staff.

Very very slow process here. I waited 2hrs to get my load. 🕐🕑🕒⌚ time is $$$ On the upside, I was able to load in the back yard. Ample room to swing my 20ft trailer.

This place is the best auto auction I’ve seen. The reason is simple - all the vehicles are donated. Who donates their old cars? Wealthier people tend to be the ones who donate their cars, and wealthier people tend to take better care of their cars because they can afford to maintain them and get them fixed properly right when they have trouble. Poorer people tend to wait on maintenance because they can barely afford to, oftentimes they try to fix their own vehicles or trust friends or otherwise do things that wear cars out faster. There is a distinct difference in a car that was donated as opposed to wrecked, stolen, or who knows how a non-donated car finds itself at an auto-auction, but I can tell you that there is a difference and you can feel it. There is a sense of bad juju you can feel in a car that was towed, wrecked, or recovered stolen. At Capital City Auto Auction, all the cars were donated. Think about that for a minute. It makes a difference. I’ve bought 7 cars and an RV so far and every single one of my purchases turned out well so far.

I bought my first vehicle at auction a 2002 Dodge Ram van 1500 for $3,500 and this has been a baby for me! Absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever other than it needed a bath and some Polish. Only 68 thousand miles and it is a beauty! Now I'm addicted!..

Thank you for your interest. Capital City Auto Auction is a Public Auto Auction. As such, you do not need any licenses or sales permit to register. Merely go www.capitalcityautoauction.com and follow the link to register on the home page. From there you can register. You will need to provide your personal information including driver’s license number and a credit card number which will only be used if you are the successful high bidder on a vehicle. If you purchase a vehicle, a deposit of $100.00 will be charged to your credit card and taken off the final amount due. When registering, please be sure to read the auction terms and conditions so you understand the auction rules and buyers' fees associated with each purchase so you can account for that when bidding. CCAA's online auto auctions are every Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM. Depending on the number of vehicles on each auction, the auction continues for approximately 3-4 hours. Although the auction is online, vehicles can be viewed in person on each Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Specialty Vehicle Auctions are held on the last Thursday of each month immediately preceding our weekly car and truck auction.

Open to the public?

Jerry Ballantine | Sep 7, 2018
Capital City Auto Auction | Sep 7, 2018

CCAA is open to all buyers including public buyers. If you are a public buyer, you will need a government issued ID and a credit card on file. If you are the successful high bidder on a vehicle, your credit card will be charged $100.00 as a deposit for that vehicle. If you fail to pick up the vehicle, that credit card charge is forfeited and you will owe an additional $200.00 for a total of $300.00 as a penalty so only bid on vehicles you are truly interested in buying.
