This campsite is not for Black people or large families. My family has been camping together every summer for over 10 yrs and this is the worst experience we’ve had. Everyday camp staff complained to us about something. This made our experience very uncomfortable. From the number of cars and people on the site to receiving noise complaint during the day, my family felt scrutinized and unwelcome. We were told to pay for an extra site to accommodate an extra car. However, they failed to tell us about an overflow area to park our car for free. Staff complained about us congregating on one site, despite paying for 4 different campsites to accommodate everyone. It was disappointing, disheartened, and offensive. Every year we look forward to our camping trip, just to be suppressed by camp staff and personal from enjoying family time together in nature. We will never come back and I don’t recommend staying here especially if you’re Black. This year’s camping trip was memorable for all of us, for all the wrong reasons, and that’s unfortunate. Aside from how we were treated by staff, my only other complaint is the large number of widow makers on this camp ground.

It's the greatest. You can run up to Lake Berryassa. There is fishing lots of squirrels and birds. There are some resident peacocks there that are very friendly and very noisy. We camp right on Putah Creek. It's beautiful there.

Best kayaking in the area, small launch ramp, parking ($8 cost going up but...) has restrooms, a stand to rinse your small boat, fishing (barbless hooks right now). Going down Putah Creek on a kayak you will have to duck and navigate overhanging foliage but is worth the trouble. There is also a ranger station across the street at the campgrounds with a small nature museum and a walking trail with numbered points of interest. Ask a ranger for a map. Pre covid the ponds in the park were stocked and an annual fishing derby was held for the kids. In the park are benches, industrial grills for your charcoal and a playground for the kids. Further NE of the park are signs warning of mountain lions, although I've not heard of an encounter, its best to watch/ be with your small kids on the trails! Only negative is the yellow jackets to deal with in the summer.

The peacocks here are so pretty! The park is being rebuilt after the fire a while ago and it's coming along very well. Everything is working, so come and see it!

Only in Campsites on leash and upon the campsite Trails. NOT ALLOWED: In the Main Park The Boat Launch The Picnic Area or the Main Lawn// Kids playground area, So I Really Call That A Big NO, Unless Fido really loves spending days on a tiedown stake, or walking around and around a parking spot in front of a huge frobidden Lake!!! SOO DISSAPPOINTING FOR DAY VISITORS WITH DOGS, THE RANGERS BASICALLY TELL YOU TO LEAVE THE LAKE WITH DOGS ALONG... Thats the reality and I see no reason why, as private camps/ piers and The Berryessa BLM lands surrounding this do allow dogs.
Yes there are many electrical outlets around the park in a variety of site from large motorhome to small RV amongst some trees.
The latest fire impacted the campgrounds. You can see burnt area all around, but they are open for business.
Yes, you can have a camp stove anytime. Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings and weather conditions permitting.
Up close 2 the dam. There are fishing areas all along the way from lake Solano & up 2 the dam. There signs clearly marking so.
It's my understanding that it hasn't been stocked for some time. But there are brown and rainbow trout, bluegill, bass and crappie in the river there. It is subject to special regulations... barbless hooks, no live bait ect... but it's a beautiful place to camp hike and fish
The only wild animal we saw was peacock. It was really exciting to see them around.
Yes, you can camp in a tent.
They are open for business
You can bring your own kayak. I saw people kayaking.
Yes, there are parking spots for overflow parking
I don't think so. I would check with the Ranger
Call leave a message have them call back. Also check website if its states. You must book 2wks in advance.
I think catch and release and it's free to fish
No entry to the campgrounds after 9pm

Yes, there is dedicated swimming area aroudn
Dogs and other animals (short of ADA regulated service dogs or miniature horses) are prohibited in the Day Use area. In the campground prob of Lake Solano, animals are permitted on-leash and under owner control at all times. With respect to flees or ticks, given its a nature area and wildlife habitat, it would be equivalent to going to any open Public area such as this where these species may be present. If your did had a fee & tick treatment, I'm doubtful they will experience much issue.
Yep pretty close really. And Vacaville airport might be the same as well
It's a $1 a day/per dog. Campground ONLY with rabies certificate
Fun tent camping especially by the water. Only down side is the traffic noise.
$35 for premium sites which are on the water or electrical hook-ups. $25 regular & $13 senior or disabled
It depends on where you have your dog. Last I read the rules they are allowed on the camping side but not the day use side. Also most be on leash and not chase the wildlife or cause a disturbance.
It differs from tent site to t.v. site most is aprox 30 per night for RV hook ups, least is tent disabled, 13 per night
