We were walking around downtown NOLA and saw the church spires from the distance, and knew we had to pay a visit. St. Patrick’s is absolutely stunning, both inside and outside. I don’t think anyone could argue how other-worldly beautiful stained glass is- and it decorated the side walls at intervals, casting a colorful glow on the aisles of seats. Then, at the main atrium and stage is a large dome painted with various scenes and stained glass in the actual hollow of the dome, and you just feel like you’re walking in a holy place. That may sound cheesy but it’s the best way to describe it. In each corner of the church there are also setups where you can donate and light a candle. So there are several rows of candles burning in each corner, and something about a small open flame just adds to the serene peacefulness and stateliness of the place. We even were able to speak with a custodian working in the building when we came and he was so sweet and sincere. Such a cool visit. If you see the church spires, here in New Orleans or elsewhere, follow my advice and follow them!!

St Patricks built in 1840... Unique site with 10 Angels above main altar (stained glass) Statuettes of Joseph and Baby Jesus. And Anne... Mary's mother as a child. (Jesus's grandmother) Worth in gold a visit... American Catholic church.

Gorgeous historical church. A must see for sure if you're in the area! Breathtaking wall art inside as you look up to the ceiling. Will have to visit one day again!

Beautiful church that easily stands up to its more famous sibling in Jackson Square. Impressive bell tower with gorgeous stained glass windows and a towering interior. St. Louis cathedral is incredible, but it's far from the only church worth seeing in this city!

We went as tourists and just showed up about 20 minutes early and we were able to get a seat for mass. Parking can be difficult to find so give yourself plenty of time.

I think you want St Patrick in New Orleans. Easter this year (2019) is April 21. You would have to call the parish to confirm the times. Hope this helps.
