I brought a 1940's velvet coat in for hem. I had stepped on it and ruined the bottom. I asked the lady to hem it up as much as she needed to fix it, leaving it as long as possible. This was October. I called a few weeks later and she …The coat was is such disrepair it was unable to be worked on. (The fabric was old and touching made it crumble). My tailor Cody is very good at his job and did not want to ruin the coat or be responsible for any damage. Very hard for you to understand our reasons. We were polite with you.
