They hang up on me when I'm calling to update my contact info they're lazy and don't like to answer calls that are super important to me then they acted like I'm wrong when i got mad my phone not free i can't keep wasting my minutes on not getting answered long hours me trying to call section 8 at Hampton Homes location they sit and look at the phone knowing I'm calling back and they honestly Ignore my call every time after the first time i call for anything important!!!!!!

They are so disrespectful told me i had to go back on the waiting list after i been on there like 5 years i got selected they told me i was not in there area so i have to wait another 2 years they are so pointless no help at all all the people there are disrespectful

If you was evicted u have to wait 5yrs and the waiting list application has to be OPEN to reapply. If u did not get evicted u can reapply only if the waiting list application is OPEN for everyone.
You will have to fill out a GHA application idk if they have a waiting list or not right now but I would call up there or go by the offices
No way to tell..All you can do is apply and wait for a response...I will say it's always been around the 3 month mark for me before i would hear anything back from them

Yes.. Contact them or go to them!! Are you at the same mailing address you was when you applied 4 years ago?? Because that's how they contact you no phone or email. Only by letter so if not that could be a factor and you was put back at the bottom of the waiting list.

Paper Application from Housing office. Income, school records, stable address. If u move or change your number from the original app submission then keep them updated w your new info. App is simple there is just a long list. Put your name on it. Well worth the wait. Have to be Disabled, working or going to school.
I would advise you to call them and get the proper website bcz. It is best to get the paper application and turn it in directly to them. That will guarantee you on the list.. 9 years waiting. Had mold left the apt 3 months in a hotel then returned. 2 years later and had an apt fire homeless 2 months. That was a year ago. And finally got up for review. 9 year bid w housing and finally here. Basically no matter what they go by that list. Get your name on it and just have to wait it out. Took my homegirl 7 years to get hers. Well worth the wait tho. Best of luck

They do have all three. It just depends on what becomes available and when. Currently, they are building new townhomes for qualifying applicants.
They don’t call. They send letters to whatever address you put on your original application and a confirmation email. But it can be as soon as 6 months to 6 years+...depending on household size/ availability .but quicker response if receiving SSI/SSD/vet/ or disability with no dependent or less than 2 kids
